Summary
Continuation of "You're a light in the dark"
Cyrus and TJ are finally together. No Exit is on a good path. But what's in store for everyone now? They're all a big group of friends, can they handle anything?
Note: the summary probably has nothing to do with the story, I'm just not good at it.

Summary
His boyfriend had been acting strange since the weekend after the Jefferson Boys’ Basketball game on Friday. Even though they had exchanged their usual goofy texts and memes during the weekend, TJ had kept declining to facetime. Normally, they’d also hang out at each other’s houses, but TJ had said his mom needed him to stay home and that he couldn’t have anyone over even Cyrus. Cyrus was beginning to wonder if maybe TJ was getting tired of him. Their relationship had already lasted longer than typical middle school ones. They’d already been together for five months, two weeks, three days, and thirteen hours. That was a huge milestone.

Summary
Grant High is a lot different from Jefferson Middle, but TJ and Cyrus have each other, and that's what counts.
TJ looked up at his best friend. His first crush. The only person he could talk to like this.
"What's going to happen with the team?"
He shrugged. Cyrus was more important than basketball. And he didn't need someone to jerk him around for him to figure that out. Not again. -

Summary
The boy noticed that she wasn’t fully herself. When she smiled, it never quite reached her eyes. He’s an expert in this field, because his smile often never reaches his eyes, either. It made him sad to see her this way; not as energetic as she usually is. He didn’t question her right away, though, deciding to respect her silent wish, and pretend like everything was alright.

Summary
Kathleen Kippen tapped her hands on the wheel, moving slightly to the beat of the rock song humming on low volume through the speakers of her car as she eyed the house in front of her. It was getting progressively darker outside, and excited kids were starting to pour out the front door, signaling the middle school “rager” was coming to a close. Nevertheless, there were still some wild looking lights shining out from the windows and she could make out the sound of blaring pop music even from her vantage point in her car. She smirked to herself, laughing internally at her own memories of being an awkward middle schooler trying to navigate socializing and growing up. The nostalgia warmed into tenderness as she considered how old her own kiddo was becoming.
Or, what happens between TJ and his mom during the car-ride home after Andi's party.

Summary
I know I've been living in an alternate canon for years, that I have shielded myself from the effects of Endgame. But here's the thing- it's not because I don't want an ending to the story. It's not because I can't deal with death.
It's because I know what they'll do to Tony. I know that they'll give him a happy ending and then rip it away.
And to be honest, I'm tired of watching the characters I relate to most- the Tony Starks, the Quentin Coldwaters, the Spencer Reids, the Merlins, the Magnus Banes, the Raphael Santiagos, the Jughead Jones, the Ianto Joneses- the queercoded and the queer, the mentally ill and the coded as such, keep dying or keep getting their happy endings and same-sex love interests torn away from them. I'm tired of caring too much about something that shouldn't mean so much, tired of watching characters like me struggle and overcome and end up getting some part of them, whether their queerness or their minds or their actual lives, get shot point-blank and get left to die.
This isn't a ship thing. This isn't a "let's make him gay" thing.
This is about the fact that every time this happens, I see a part of myself dying on screen. I see a promise broken, a mirror shattered.
