Summary
Daud's guilt leads him to acting sooner and more boldly than expected. Why should he play pawn and let Attano rot when he doesn't have to? Not to mention he hates this gnawing guilt when he thinks about the man's fate.
Daud has lost his taste for killing, Corvo struggles with his own thirst for bloody vengeance, and The Outsider is, of course, fascinated.

Summary
On the 7th day of the Month of Songs in 1817, little Jessamine Kaldwin chose her Royal Protector. He was the best fighter in all of Gristol, possibly all the Isles, but he was from Serkonos. Corvo Attano was a skilled assassin, given as a diplomatic gesture from the Duke of Serkonos to the Emperor, Euhorn Kaldwin. No one could have forseen the events of years to come: the secret relationship between Empress and Royal Protector, the child of their union, the murder of Jessamine and the framing of Corvo. In 1817, the Empress was a month shy of her 13th birthday and the Royal Protector was an over-confident 19 year old. This is their story.

Summary
Through a series of strange and improbable events, Billie Lurk is Empress. Daud is her Royal Protector and mentor-until she receives a blade through the gut and Daud is framed for her murder. Six months later, Daud finds himself bearing the Outsider's Mark, and he burns with a new purpose: to save the Empress's brother, Thomas, and restore him to the throne.
Featuring Corvo and Jessamine as badass avian-themed assassins, Lizzy Stride as the sassiest Samuel ever, and the weirdest (and most inefficient) conspiracy to ever grace the Isles.

Summary
The assassin's head was struck from his shoulders with a meaty crack. It fell in a perfect arc as the body slumped sideways and fell, spraying blood down the front of Jessamine's blouse.
The stranger looked like him. That was Corvo's face looking back at him, a little younger perhaps, his skin darker, his hair shorter...
He'd appeared out of nowhere, popping into existence much like their attackers had. He hadn't wasted his time with a stab or slice at the assassin's back; he'd just cut his head clean off, staggering with the force of his own blow, blood slicking his sword.

In which Corvo Attano, captain of the Grand Serkonan Guard and interdimensional traveler extraordinaire, has had enough of this bullshit.

Summary
The look on his face is heartbreaking, all sharp angles and hardened glares, but you see the fear in his swirling gaze- hear the tremors in his voice as he extends a webbed hand towards you, the paleness of his skin looking whiter than usual.
“Come with me.” He commands- no, begs.
But you can't- no matter how badly you wish to be with him once again. There’s still one thing left to do. The moment you finally stand up instead of lying down. No more running.
So you let go of him, turn with outstretched arms, and face the blade from your nightmares.
“You won't hurt him anymore.”

Summary
During her coronation, Jessamine Kaldwin looked like a goddess come to Earth. Her face pained with fine makeup turning her face into that of implacable porcelain; her high collar and dress of endless ruffles; her glittering gemstones adorning each finger, both wrists, her neck; and her crown, reflecting light to create a halo around her ebony hair. She was a true representation of the Empire: refined, enduring, and immortal.
And yet on the eighteenth day of the Month of Earth, a dagger is plunged deep into Jessamine's heart. She bleeds out in the arms of her last protector, the eternal empire she represented begins to die with her.

Summary

Summary
Two and a half years after rescuing Emily and crowning her as Empress, Corvo once again finds himself in the presence of the Outsider — this time, to heed a warning.
A serious threat has made itself known to the Empire and the mysterious deity suggests that Corvo must seek assistance from the one person who could help the most, but he would want the least.
