Summary
Having fled from China after the Emperor's murder and entered a political marriage, Zhu reunites with her loved ones halfway across the known world. She's not alone, either, as she's brought with her the last of the Huns, a small army of Mongol warriors, and her newborn daughter. Her new life as a queen comes with new challenges, however: She must undo the damage her uncle inflicted upon their people while making new alliances and learning the ups and downs of motherhood. All the while, being married to a man she despises and having to watch her best friends, who unknowingly own her heart, go through their own crises.
