He’d been gallant, tried to offer to take the floor. “I’m tellin’ ya, Claire. It’s like camping! Throw a few blankets down, toss a couple pillows into the mix, and badda bing badda boom, you’re in bed town!”
But it seemed ridiculous, envisioning his giant frame curled up on a bed of blankets when there was a perfectly good bed right there. And they were adults, after all. It was fine. Totally, completely fine.

“You’d think by now you’d have figured out you can’t keep up with me,” he bantered back, strangely delighted that she was watching one of his favorite, most referenced films. She wanted to know about the things that he liked. That now-familiar rush of warmth flooded his chest again and he fought the urge to grin goofily at her.
That warmth, these feelings, were starting to stop being as unidentifiable and nebulous and instead were taking shape into something very definable and downright terrifying.
Claire rolled her eyes at him, coughing pitifully into the crook of her elbow and settling in. “I don’t really get this movie, though. I mean, what’s the point of it?”
“The point! Claire! The point is that it’s awesome.”

They watch in slow motion as Brad reaches for the bowl in the middle of the island and scoops up a handful of the sauce he and Andy had so lovingly developed.
“No, Brad. No, c’mon.” Claire scrambles to get away from the impending attack, but Brad gets a hold of her apron tie and holds her close.
“You asked for it.”
The sauce in her hair makes an awful, wet slopping sound as it hits the top of her head and drips over her eyes and down her cheeks. The grey streaks in her hair takes on a red, tomato hue to match the flush of her cheeks and now it’s Brad laughing.
“You’re dead, Leone.”
Or, that one time the BA crew got into a food fight and Brad and Claire found themselves in the bathroom alone together.
