In a secret meeting at the All Valley Tournament, Miguel and Robby made up... or at least, started the long process thereof. So when Miguel returns from his trip to Mexico, he fully expects to work on his relationship with Robby. What he doesn't expect is to be assaulted with it on a pretty much constant basis since Robby has apparently moved into Johnny's apartment while they were away. Johnny and Miguel promised each other to deprioritize karate, but Robby keeps collecting mysterious injuries he refuses to talk about, John Kreese is in prison, and Tory and Sam are on an ambitious mission to dismantle the growing Cobra Kai empire. Miguel's hopes for stable interpersonal relationships, karate just for fun, and maybe a nice summer job selling cupcakes are slipping through his fingers like koi in a pond. -

If it were up to Miguel, they never would have moved. But his mother got a better job opportunity at a hospital in the San Fernando Valley. The whole drive here, she talked about how great it would be. To him, it didn’t matter how much she talked up the place. He was forced to move away from where all his friends were. Now he was going to be the loser new kid. He wasn’t looking forward to the awkwardness of trying to make new friends once the school year started.
Oh yeah, and there was some random blond guy hanging out in their garage.

when Johnny meets a heavily pregnant Carmen in the parking lot at the Diner while waiting for Robby to be born his whole world changes. Carmen and her mom help Johnny get back on his feet and become a father and better man than he had been since the disastrous summer after his last All-Valley Tournament. Now with Robby and Miguel being his top students at Cobra-Kai, Johnny is happy with his life. Mostly. Too bad one favor to Carmen is enough to turn his whole world upside down.

It really was Johnny’s luck to have to deal with this bullshit on his day off wasn't it? He could have been dirt biking with Robby and Miguel. He could have been helping Yaya stuff those chilies with cheese with watering eyes and stinging fingers for tonight's birthday dinner. Hell, he could have taken advantage of some alone time and gone surfing by himself on some secluded beach off PCH. But no, here he was outside of one of the LaRusso Auto dealers to pick Carmen up. Carmen, who did not have her phone on her because she was trying to ruin Johnnys very carefully, very painfully put together life by making him walk through the dealership to find her. -

Sure, it’s to defeat a common enemy (an enemy he brought back to the game), but Johnny Lawrence and Danny LaRusso, long-time enemies, were now forced into spending time together.
