"What's your name?" It wasn't even a line. He was just pretty and Bucky wanted a name to go with that face. With that strong jawline. With those deep blue eyes.
A little smirk, "Steve."
Awww, Steve. He looked like a Steve.
Bucky pursed his lips in a way he hoped was attractive, "You should buy me a drink."
College Student Bucky finds himself immediately attracted to Steve. He knows that Steve's a bit older than him, and that Steve himself is put off by the age difference. . . But that doesn't stop Bucky from wanting to climb him like a tree.

Well, what a nice surprise. Not too sure what I expected, but this isn't your typical coffee shop AU (well, pretzel shop). Danny has two girls, Jenna and Grace (10 & 6) that he's raising alone (Rachel's dead). Jenna has Down Syndrome, so he has to keep her around all the time, which limits his options. He owns the franchise, but he's hanging on by a thread, emotionally, physically and financially. Steve, son of the CEO, gets wind through his friend Chin of Danny's fantastic pineapple pretzels (which the franchise DOESN'T OFFER, thank you) and decides it's time to visit his old home of Hawaii and see what's going on. Kono, Danny's sole employee, is leaving to go study at the Police Academy, so it's the perfect time for Steve to slip in as a new hire, incognito. Steve pretty much falls for Danny and his two sweet girls right away, and the two weeks stretch out into a few months, each day of which increases his respect for how hard Danny is trying to make a good life and a good home for his daughters... and how much forces seem to be against him (particularly Victor Hesse, VP of franchises or something like that). He learns that Danny was an orphan and is solidly committed to making his tiny family thrive and actually, unaware, is creating his own ohana.
Danny is finally stricken with serious pneumonia, days after Hesse serves him papers saying for breach of contract suit, outing Steve at the same time. This is, of course, the perfect opportunity for Steve to step up and take care of Danny (and the girls) and prove that he had good intentions all along, even though he was lying. All Danny's new ohana step in, and things progress from there...
