Elrond has moved out of the Palace in Lindon and it seems to be simply a matter of growing independence.
Most of Lindon assumes that Elrond is hiding a girlfriend, but the truth is far darker and more likely to cause trouble.
(don't read the summary, read the tags, they're far more entertaining)

Summary
No one is born great and wise, not even the great King Gil-galad or Master Elrond, known throughout Middle Earth for his wisdom and knowledge. For young Thranduil, left alone among the Noldor, the road toward wisdom and greatness is fraught with deep-seated anger, sorrow and remorse. But, sometimes, you have to let go, forgive the enemy and yourself in order to move on. This is Second Age seen through the eyes of Gil-galad, Elrond, Thranduil and Sauron, their journey toward darkness or greatness, a story of undying friendship and enmity.

Yara is a Syrian refugee, and well, life doesn't get much shittier than that, does it? Well, unless you're a Syrian refugee who suddenly finds herself in a place where no one understands what she's saying, there is no wi-fi... and how the hell did she even get there? Through all the gloom the stars are twinkling, just like the eyes of the people around her.
A good fic if you like elves, language barriers, and OC's who break the mould. Not as depressing as the tags seem. Actually quite uplifting. Also, not a mary-sue, and not a tenth-walker, but the fellowship will come into play. Bear with me :)
EDIT: So, I've noticed this is definitely going to end up being, well, long. It's turning out to be a story just as much about finding your place in the world as it is about finding adventure in Middle-Earth. I hope you enjoy it, anyway, and if you don't, feel free to leave constructive criticism :)
I hope the language setup works for you. Please critique my Quenya and Sindarin. I have no clue about Swedish or Arabic, sooo... not even attempting those.

The Wizard of Oz was supposed to be just a story. No one could fall into another world, could they? When Sibby Stanton finds herself in a strange new world full of medieval technology, magical rings and mythical creatures that defy the laws of physics, she's convinced she's fallen through a quantum tunnel, and there's one object that maybe, just maybe, could get her home.

New Chapter : 75- Dribbling Mad Chapter 39: Warnings and Plans
"Dribbling Mad" Story Summary: All Thranduil is trying to do is teach his long-time friend and new-found cousin how to act like a respectable royal lord. It would be a little easier if Theli were at all minded to learn! After all, a great-grandson of Dior Eluchil cannot sail West still acting like a backwoods bumpkin!
Dribbling Mad Chapter 39 Summary: Theli reconciles with just about everyone. Thranduil learns that a known threat has been eliminated in a very final way, but he does not find this reassuring (and neither does Faramir). Thranduil, Thalion, and Lothgail figure out a way to deal with the messy political implications of Theli’s past treason conviction. Orophin and Thranduil talk about the past, the present, and the future.

Summary
It wasn't just the elves that were called by the sea. Men heard the song too.
Year 725 of the Second Age. Númenor prospers, and remains on friendly, if somewhat estranged terms with the elves of Middle Earth. On the white sandy shores of Númenor's beaches, three friends grew up dreaming of adventure. Now they must prepare for the journey of their lives.
Across tossing waves and through raging storms they will head East, to Middle Earth, leaving behind everything they knew to find new friends and allies, the elves of their parents' and grandparents' stories. Led by the ever dashing and daring Prince Aldarion, they will find that like the sea, the moods of both Middle Earth and Númenor are ever changing.

Summary
I liked the addition of Tauriel to Peter Jackson's Hobbit movie. Having a strong female character was a positive in my opinion. I also liked the Kili/Tauriel relationship. They only had a few, very short encounters in the movie before Kili escaped and Tauriel went after him to Lake town. In the book the dwarves were prisoners of the Elven King for almost two weeks. This story follows the idea and much of the dialogue of the movie but gives the dwarves a longer period as prisoners in the Woodland Realm, allowing Tauriel and Kili more time to get to know each other and develop feelings for each other before the escape. I also have tried to adjust some plot holes and scenes I had issues with in the movies. The story goes beyond the end of the movies. I have revised the formatting from one long work to multiple chapters as chapter numbers are increasing!

Summary
In the Valley of Imladris, Elrond and his companions have founded the Last Homely House - a refuge, a haven of peace in the wilderness of Middle Earth. Erestor alone remembers the flames, the blood, the ashes, the terrible flight from the ruined city. But he is not the only survivor of the Fall of Gondolin, it seems, and Glorfindel's arrival shatters his hard-won composure. Memories resurface, of the House of the Fountain, of Ecthelion, who took him in and raised him as a brother, of a golden hero on a white horse, riding out to battle...
And Glorfindel's fate seems to be as inseperable intertwined with the House of the Fountain as with that of the House of Earendil - not that anyone ever asked Erestor's opinion on the matter, or whether he wanted to inherit the entire gloomy history of his house, golden-haired fools included. In other news: Elrond meddles, Celebrían sends flowers, Galadriel and Celeborn give advice, Thranduil gets on everyone's nerves, the dwarves raid the wine-cellar, and the Witch-King of Angmar does his very best to ruin everything.
