5 Works in Brotherhood (TV 2006)
Michael Caffee is back in Providence, Rhode Island, trying to pick up where he left off seven years ago, when he fled two steps ahead of a mob hit, and one step ahead of the law. But while he works to reclaim his place in the Irish mob, he meets a woman--and a months long love affair has the potential to change his life for the better...if he can hold on to her.

Michael neatly scotches Eddie’s first clumsy swing. He’s strong enough to grab Eddie by the back of his suit collar and put him down like a dog. He doesn’t even stand up to do it. “What’d I do?” he says to Freddie and the others. Eddie picks himself up from under Michael’s table. “My fuckin’ wife! My fuckin’ wife, Michael!” A few people look around toward the action, but it’s over quickly, and the center is Michael; Kath can see them virtually shrugging.
Michael Caffee has survived a beating and a long recovery. Kath Parry has stayed by his side, caring and worrying, and getting a divorce from Eddie Parry. They have history. A morning wake-up, some lovin', some conversation, and some memories.
Takes place in "Brotherhood" Season Two, around Ep 1.
Michael Caffee is on the run. Yeah.
Great show you made of that Michael, you stupid eejit.
Freddie Cork wins the Irish game and the Italians beat out the Irish. The Hill is dead.
Long live the fuckin’ Hill.
This may expand into a series of somewhat related chapters or stories, based on "Brotherhood" with Jason Isaacs, who plays such delicious bad boys.

Michael needs to feel alive after Pete's death, and Colin is more than willing. Set after The Lonesome Death of... 4:7-8 (ep. 203). Because the combination of bloody knuckles, an Irish accent, and Jason Isaacs is bound to make me think naughty thoughts. Warning! This is one of those fics where men kiss other men that they happen to be related to.
