When Brad learns ahead of their deployment to Iraq that Tim Bryan will be acting as Bravo Two's corpsman, he's very glad that they're getting the best of the best, because he has served with Doc Bryan before and knows what to expect.
That feeling of relief morphs into stone-cold dread when he's told that the Doc is assigned to One Alpha's Humvee. Doc Bryan and Ray Person in the same victor for weeks on end while everybody is suffering from sleep deprivation and Ray is high on Ripped Fuel certainly doesn't sound like the best idea.
Or: Imagine how things might have gone if Doc Bryan was part of One Alpha's Humvee team.

Skip to 2012, Thirty-three-year-old Brad Colbert lives with Ray Person, a friend from the past and a Master Driver for the White House, who lives in a shitty apartment on the West End with a shitty job. Ray, with his connections, helps Brad get a job as the bodyguard for Supreme Court Justice Richard Fick, who’s been receiving death threats since passing the Affordable Care Act.
Eighteen-year-old Nate Fick, a rising freshman at Dartmouth, was described as every teenage girl's heartthrob; at least according to J-14. Brad spends his summers with the Fick’s, and the more time he spends around Nate, the more he sees a side to Nate that’s nobody knows: except for Brad.
After a failed kidnapping of one of the Fick daughters, The Fick’s demand a bodyguard be sent to watch over Nate on his spring break-but to Nate's displeasure. Brad knows he has a job to do, but the line between work and pleasure is beginning to blur.
