Along with three other kids her age, Violet Parr, Wilbur Robinson and Hiro Hamada, they'll have to crack the code, defeat the villain and go get ice cream without being at each other's throats, all to finally fulfill the Big Four's legacy.

    Summary

After nearly undoing his timeline and ceasing to exist, eighteen-year-old Wilbur Robinson goes back in time and sets off on a self-appointed mission to find his family's missing Time Machine. His task leads him to crime-ridden San Fransokyo, where he crosses paths with Violet Parr (a budding solo heroine trying to uncover the reason behind Big Hero 6's disbanding), Hiro Hamada (a graduate student attempting to leave his messy past behind), and Penny Forrester (an aspiring journalist who seems to always get caught in the middle of things). Together, they're forced to face their self-doubt and demons, as well as a San Fransokyo underground who's out to get them.

    Summary

Mittens has been abandoned in Manhattan for a few months now. She tries to change her bad luck with friends and lovers, but not surprisingly, things seem to get in the way. The persistent wet and cloudy weather doesn't help, either. A pre-canon story. Primary cultural references include songs from the Joni Mitchell album "Clouds" and the O. Henry short story "The Cop and the Anthem," as well as songs by Translator, Wire Train, Buffalo Springfield, and the Bobby Fuller Four, the composer Erik Satie, the movies "The Lion King" and "Meet the Robinsons," and literature by John Steinbeck, Harper Lee, Jane Austen, Mark Twain, F. Scott Fitzgerald, J.K. Rowling, and A.A. Milne.

    Summary

Penny's mom inherits a cabin from somebody who is ostensibly a relative. Then nothing happens. This is one of those character-driven stories where there's lots of talking and hurt and comfort and stuff.

Edit: One of my beta readers has told me that my summary might not draw in a reader. Try this:

Imagine if the movie "Bolt" had been the product of some experimental mid-century Swedish director, with lots of essentially static, stark black and white moments with a split-screen of two actors' faces against a Stygian background, one facing right and the other facing the viewer. Their pallid visages betray no emotion as they stoically talk over each other, voicing their feelings of emptiness and ennui in the face of a meaningless existence. They end by saying, "I am alone, even when we are together" in unison.

Now imagine if this story is nothing like that, other than lots of dialogue and character interaction. And a hamster and a dog and a cat.

    Summary

Bolt, Mittens, and Rhino are trapped in a car trunk while playing hide-and-seek, where unbeknownst to them, they're headed off to the supermarket. Turns out there's a good reason why pets aren't normally allowed inside; slapstick hilarity ensues from the trio of mischief-makers, with plenty of intensive aisle cleanup necessary. Primary cultural and historical references include songs by The Clash and The Cars; TV shows such as "Are You Being Served," "Mr. Bean," "Fawlty Towers," "Keeping Up Appearances," "Avatar: The Last Airbender," and "M*A*S*H"; the musical "Stomp"; movies by Harold Lloyd; animated characters Speedy Gonzales and Winsome Witch; cultural icons James Bond and King Kong; and the Meriwether Lewis and William Clark Expedition.

    Summary

This is a short ditty about Mittens sitting in the front window, watching a bird going about its business on the front lawn.

I am posting this at the urging of the author for whom I beta.

I penned it for him as a silly response to a much more sophisticated poem that he wrote on the same theme, but he feels that this one good enough to share as well.

    Summary

When Bolt and Rhino cajole Mittens into explaining why she feels a certain kinship with the Disney villain Mirage from the Aladdin TV cartoon series, she reluctantly tells them her backstory, from the day she was adopted until Bolt met her living in the streets of New York.

Bolt suspects that she may not be the most reliable narrator, and he points out that parts of her story (i.e., all the parts) do not match with the bits that he already knows.

The cat relents and tells a second story that - true or not - sounds much more plausible.

In the end, though, who are we to deny somebody the life they wanted rather than the life they got?

Mittens has noticed something amiss outside the farmhouse lately. It makes her nervous, so Bolt decides to investigate -- and he stumbles onto an unwelcome visitor. How will he handle this, and will there be ramifications down the road? Primary cultural references include the movies "Zootopia" and "Apocalypse Now," Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner cartoons, the TV show "Columbo," the Peter Schickele "biography" of P.D.Q. Bach, author Franz Kafka, and the folk standard "Big Rock Candy Mountain" as well as music by Franz Joseph Haydn, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Ike and Tina Turner, and Fleetwood Mac. Fair warning: expect some pun usage along the way, a fact I'm not "Haydn."

    Summary

Bolt is just enjoying an episode of Peter Gunn on the oldies channel when a feline femme fatale swishes into the room with a proposition he can't refuse. The shepherd calls in his hamster sidekick and concocts a foolproof plan to help this felonious feline. What could possibly go wrong when fools try to carry out a foolproof plan?

Like my other two stories in this fandom, this one takes place after they've moved to the farmhouse at the end of the movie.

Constructive criticism and feedback are always welcome.
