“I have a question.”Kuroo scoffed out a laugh. From the corner of his eye, Tooru could see his upper lip bump out as his tongue slid across the top row of his teeth, but he did his best to pay it no mind. leaning back, Kuroo crossed his arms as he turned to look him dead in the eyes, disregarding the lack of distance between their faces. “So you do need something.”
Tooru smiled, his eyes struggling to look straight ahead and not wander down Kuroo’s face. “When don't I need something from you, Tetsu?” he joked lightly, shame and guilt seeping their way into his throat, then into his heart. He wasn't sure the exact time nor date he had become so dependent on the other's attention, but he had. And he hated himself for letting it happen. Kuroo Tetsurou had always had an addictive personality, as a kid he’d latch on to anything that brought him any semblance of a distraction from his messy home life. It started simple with something as innocent as volleyball, practicing for hours on end, watching games in his downtime, hell everything he did, even his friendships, revolved around volleyball. So it shouldn't have been that surprising how quickly his life began to fall apart when that all ended.
