    Summary

    Things were far better off of the Isle than on it. They all knew that.
    But sometimes they couldn't help but long for something familiar.
    For a place where they felt like they belonged.
    For a time when they were the best of the worst and not the worst of the best.

    Summary

    Most days, life in Auradon was good. The four were adjusting slowly but surely to the bubbly, shiny kingdom, but some days didn't quite make the cut. Some days it felt like their progress was one step forward, two steps back.

    Some days they just needed to hit something.

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Or - the Core Four spar with each other every now and again to let out their frustrations. One day that Jay approaches Mal, Ben gets invited along to watch.
    Inspired by an Instagram post of Dove Cameron wearing a baby blue wig and our rambling shenanigans that somehow turned into an AU Tia wrote for me...
    Summary
    When Evie had come to Ben pleading for him to understand her reasons for leaving, he hadn’t grasped why she had refused his assistance. There had nearly been tears in her eyes as she told him Mal had gone back to the Isle of the Lost; Ben wished with all of his heart that he could help Evie retrieve their friend, a fact he confessed to her. She had gone rigid, her demeanor changing as she firmly explained to him that the Isle was not a place for people like him. Ben had laughed and told her he could take it. With her brows hinting she felt otherwise, Evie had allowed him to follow her.
    Now, he was beginning to understand.
    Where the AKs see the VKs truly. Where the VKs are not villains but victims. Where the AKs are not heroes but the problem. Where Auradon failed the Isle. Where AKs and VKs learn from one another.
    A / N: I have only watched the movies and after reading stories here, I thought I'd quickly try my hand at revealing life on the Isle as it is, not as it is romanticized to be, to those at Auradon Prep. (Chapters of various lengths.)
