A young girl dusted ash off a doll. It had dark red hair. Its smile was missing. The young red-haired smiled in its place. She sat it next to her pillows. Its green dress flowing past its knees. It had no shoes. The young girl put on her slippers. The doll was now smiling, dressed and prepared to go to the ball with its new escort. The young red-haired girl bowed deeply in front of the doll.
« Would you like to come to the dance with me milady? »
The doll with no smile and no slippers said nothing.
The red-headed girl pursed her lips. Something was wrong. There was no balance in these things. People had stolen the doll’s smile. Without a mouth, the doll would not be able to speak. The girl twirled her crimson lock around her finger.
« Do not worry, I will give your voice back. I promise it. »
Therefore started the young redhead and her escorts journey to find a voice, a mouth, a smile, an identity.Or, a series of stories intertwining themselves in which the ultimate question is: Who is the pawn between the puppeteer and the puppet itself?
