Beelzebub gets stuck in a tree, but maybe that’s not a bad thing for Carlos…

“I—” He swallowed. “I thought, maybe… we could eat together.”
Cruella’s lip twitched up into a near-snarl—an anger that didn’t quite manifest. Her expression became something more neutral, more dangerous as she looked between Carlos and the table arrangement. “I see,” she replied, running her long, manicured nails over the spindles of the nearest dining room chair, filling the space between her words with a tap-tap-tap. “Why is that?”
“It’s… Mother’s Day,” said Carlos, voice soft and quavering—suddenly uncertain of himself, of the date, of the whole idea. Had he been wrong to think she would like it, or was it simply not good enough? Had he managed to overlook something so obviously wrong that she had noticed it right away? Was he that stupid—that oblivious?
He opened his mouth to apologize, but Cruella was already talking (almost laughing, really)—
“It’s Mother’s Day,” she echoed. “Mother’s Day…”

Jay sighed. “You’re the worst,” he said flatly, not meaning a word of it even in the darkest parts of his soul. “You could’ve come and found me, y’know. Hell, you could have told me about the other night, like… I don’t know, yesterday?”
Carlos nodded at that, chewing on his lip. “I know.”
“But you figured, what?” said Jay, narrowing his eyes. “Worst thing that happens is you’re served up as a side of ribs, huh? Maybe the rats get a few bites in first?”
“Jay, come on…” Carlos sighed, raising his hands in a placating gesture. (He wasn’t sorry for what had happened. Not really.) “What do you want me to say? It’s not like I planned it. I wasn’t thinking, and yeah, things got out of control. I just…” He shook his head.
Jay stared at him a long moment, then broke off with a noise that sounded suspiciously distressed as he ran both his hands through his hair. “We’re gonna have to tell Mal about this—first thing tomorrow. She’s gonna kill us both, but... f*ck, if it’s not just talk about Ratigan and your mom, and he saw you today? Yeah. Yeah, we have to.”
Carlos stared at him, unblinking. “W-we?” he asked, almost inaudible. Jay huffed a little and glanced away, but nodded.

Carlos let his senses drift, noting the subtle draft that tickled at his exposed skin, catching a bit of the argument that Horace and Jasper were having through the bathroom door, seeing the glittering eyes that watched him from behind his mother’s reflection on the window.
He sat up straighter, staring hard at the window.
“Stay,” his mother growled, pushing down on his head until he was forced into a slouch. “What are you looking at?” Her eyes flicked to the window, but there was nothing there. She frowned. “Answer me. Now.”
“Nothing. Just the TV,” mumbled Carlos.
Cruella acknowledged him with a grunt, but nothing further. He waited to feel the movement of her fingers in his hair become more languid before he dared to let his attention wander from her again.
There was nothing at the window, though.
Nothing but darkness behind his mother’s reflection.

"We will be bringing over more kids from the Isle of the Lost to live here in Auradon!"
Carlos starts choking on his food, Gil stares dumbly at the screen, Harry drops the tray of chips he had been eating and Uma... Uma smiles like Christmas had just come early.

The newly United Kingdoms of Auradon didn't think about the consequences of what throwing all of their villains, and old world history they wished to forget, under a magical barrier and lifting the land 500 yards into the air would bring.
Well I'll tell you what, it doesn't encourage reform, nor instill happy go lucky feelings.
The Villains weren't about to give up the lives they dreamed of, they still were sleazy, lazy sorts of people. If they wanted an easier life and someone to blame and listen to their woes, they were going to need new loyal followers, AKA children.
Those who didn't particularly kill to have more mouths to feed, still found themselves creating and fighting to have brats of their own, if only to survive. After all Maleficent's iron grip on the Isle left little other options for them, not when everyone knows if you cross the less than sane dragon you get killed.
How do their descendants overcome all the challenges created by the ignorance of Auradon, and how will they fall on the cosmic scales.

King Adam prevents Ben from making his proclamation.
But that's okay.
Connor and Coraline have a plan to take over.
And if it takes slitting a few Auradonian throats?
So be it.
Because the Isle kids are willing to follow them into hell.
And they are all angry and damaged.
