6 Works in Bakugou Katsuki Whump

"We're really sorry," his father says, in a teary-eyed, wobbly way. "But your friend, Izuku, he's... He's gone, son."
Katsuki can do nothing but blink up at them for moments that feel like an eternity, eyes darting between both his parents in obvious confusion, disbelief, and, more than anything, indignation.
"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"
During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in his state is no one other than Kacchan.
Alternatively: Deku and Kacchan have their souls bound to each other.

“He’s just too combative. I know he was recovered from an illegal Alpha fighting ring and we can’t do much for that, but he’s not receptive to any of our attempts to help. He instantly starts fights with any Alphas that try to reach out to him, even if they aren’t posturing, and if we try to send in an Omega to keep him calm he somehow manages to freak out even more.”
“All we can do it be patient and provide him a safe environment to heal. We don’t know how long he was held captive nor what sort of things he’s had to do to survive.”
“But if no one can get close to him, how are we supposed to help?”
“Have we tried sending in a Beta? If we have one that would be capable of withstanding his quirk, it may be the best middle ground.”
“Red Riot, one of my previous students might be able to. Kirishima’s quirk is hardening and should be strong enough to withstand the Alpha’s explosions. Plus his personality tends to let him make friends with just about everyone. He was on the infiltration team too, so he’s at least minimally aware of the situation. He’d have to be briefed on the specifications, of course.”
“He sounds like the best chance we’ve got."
“Can’t hurt to try, I guess."

Shinsou Hitoshi has finally made it to the hero course as class 1-A’s newest student. After moving into the dorms next door to Bakugou Katsuki, Shinsou learns a lot more about the explosive boy than he ever hoped to know.
Bakugou, who has developed major life affecting issues such as depression and anxiety since his kidnapping, is a mess.
Shinsou is a judgmental jerk until he finally gets it.
Then he helps.

The metallic taste of blood had almost become second nature to him. A searing pain burned the swollen gash on his side. Biting back the pain, Bakugou hung his head. Ragged breaths sent sharp needle pricks to his lungs. His hands trembled his rage as he struggled to free himself from the chains.
Bakugou tensed up as soft footsteps echoed throughout the cell. He could hear the click of the lock slowly unlocking. Beyond his blurred vision he could see a figure standing on the other side of the bars, a pair of keys hooked onto their waist. The door creaked open and he could see the figure slip in, drawing ever so close. His stomach twisted as a familiar melody floated through the air.
Their fingers dug into his scalp, grabbing a fist full of hair they yanked his head up. Blazing red eyes met blue. A mock saccharine look painted their face.
“Good morning~” His captor sung, “did you have a nice night?”

The hard part is over. At least, that's what Kirishima thinks. The first surprise is finding Mineta in the vents... it all goes downhill from there.
By morning, the bug has claimed two more victims: Kaminari and Iida. From there, the pathogen spreads like muddy water from a broken dam, germs flooding the 1-A dorm floor by miserable floor. Crisis training officially kicking in, the infected are taken under the wing of the healthy, both parties desperately working to halt the epidemic.
It doesn’t work. At eleven AM Saturday morning, Heights Alliance is put under official quarantine by the joint ruling of Recovery Girl and Aizawa-sensei.

Bakugou sneaks off with Todoroki everyday after quirk practice. Sometimes during. Sometimes Todoroki comes to Bakugou’s room AT NIGHT.
And not that Bakugou can't have other friends and all, but Kirishima thought he was number one in Bakugou's heart.
