Bakugou and Hitoshi were the only ones who settled in their spots, sitting still and unafraid. “Tch, as if I will ever fall for some dumb things like that, love is yucky.”
Izuku was sitting quietly beside Hitoshi, fiddling with his fingers. “Aren’t you scared Hitoshi?”
“Not at all, papa says we will be protected because we live in the shrine remember?”
“Oh, yes. I remember!” Izuku puts on a smile and nodded at it.

Even though he knew that there was no place for him on earth, that he was cursed from birth with the absence of a quirk... he would not stop, not now, not ever.
Izuku Midoriya had wanted to become a hero ever since he had known what heroes meant, ever since he had first seen his heroes on TV; Eraserhead, All Might, Present Mic, Feral Demon, and many others... he had known that he had to become a hero.
So he would become one, he would get into UA with a scholarship, would ignore all the hateful stares from his teachers and schoolmates- and would keep on going.
It didn't matter that the principal wanted to expel him at every chance he got, and that his teachers and school mates didn't really like him. It didn't matter that the league had an unhealthy obsession with him- he would gradute from UA and become a pro hero to save everyone that he could.
And if that didn't work? He could always follow in his father's footsteps...Or Izuku winning the hearts of everyone without even tryiing to (or wanting)...

Izuku isn't a good person, no; that passed long ago, drowned in blood and secrets and dead mothers. But kami-fucking-dammit he can be a kind one.
Or: Vigilante Izuku except there's vigilante Mikumo (which no one else has written for :/), a couple gods, some worldbuilding, some time-traveling, Katsuki doing His Best, Class 1-A being loved and appreciated, and to top it all off, trauma (now in new and exciting models!)
