"Maybe he was just one of the ADA social workers, busy and sincerely indifferent despite appearances. Chuuya had handled his share of those as a child and knew they were generally more or less well-meaning people who were occasionally willing to sacrifice the well-being of others if it resulted in lessening of the paperwork at the end of the day.
However, for some reason, Dazai didn't seem to fit into such a rigid role, and it wasn't just his carefree manner that bordered on childishness. Something about him said that he really was worried, really cared and wanted the best for Atsushi and his future."
