Summary
As the eldest son of the chieftain he was tasked with protecting the village when his father left to aid in the war. As an older brother, he has to take care of his younger siblings Sokka and Katara. After their mother was killed, too much changed. He didn't have time for fun and games with war on their borders. To keep his remaining family safe he had to close off his heart and train relentlessly for the battle he knew they'd face eventually. The Avatar wasn't coming back. Or at least, that's what Ayaan thought, until a bald kid with blue arrows showed up.

Summary
Follows Zuko's journey as he tries to integrate into to gaang starting with the Western Air Temple. Stayed very loyal to the show timeline with some obvious embellishments. This is a precursor to my later series with lots of relationship details that might be helpful for my later series when Zukka is full force!

Summary
This was very quickly turning into one of the worst moments of his life.
“Er,” he began hoarsely. The silence was deafening. He cleared his throat twice to make his voice deeper. “I… uh, have to- I mean, I’d like- I need to keep my mask on.” Ugh. Eloquent as usual, Fire Lord Zuko.
The one where Zuko is introduced to the theatre group- but his identity's secrecy doesn't go down as well as he seems to think it did.
(Series summary: AU- Canon until just after the final battle. For the sake of his own safety, Fire Lord Zuko secretly ends up in a theatre troupe's production, acting alongside the girl who witnessed one of his most dishonourable moments. Literal drama, identity porn and shenanigans ensue.)

Summary
When Zuko gets banished, he does not wait for Iroh, not wanting to cause more damage than he has already, and decides to hike it on his own. He manages quite well for the most part. He is on his own, living, doing whatever it was that needs to be done, when he accidentally ends up saving the Avatar. No big deal, or at least, it wasn't, until he gets roped into joining their little gang of misfits, and then actually begins to care for some of them, despite their idiocy. He just...doesn't know what to do with that.
He does know that they can't know who he really is....

Summary
Spirits are interesting things, they tend to make impulsive decisions. So whoever put them in charge of soulmates needs to check their priorities. (Sokka and Zuko think so a least.) When a spirit chooses soulmates they take some of themselves and put them into those people, and they’re souls will long for the other person, wanting to be complete again. And when the pair make eye contact for the first time they almost enter a trance, they can basically see they’re souls connecting. So this definitely causes some chaos when Sokka and Zuko meet.

Summary
Ursa had known from even before Azula was born that she would possess great power. She also knew the danger of letting a child with those gifts grow up near Ozai. She knew what he would do to wield that power for his own use. Ursa had to protect her children from Ozai's wrath. She flees to the one place she know they'll be safe... home.
Zuko and Azula get to grow up in a loving and caring environment, away from the cruelty of the Fire Nation, along side Sokka and Katara. These kids get to be just that, kids with all the love and support they need. That is until the war causes for their parents to have to leave home in order to keep them safe.
They were on their own, protecting the village for two-and-a-half years, then everything changed when the Avatar returned. -

Summary
Inspired by The Unknowns and In The Moonlight, this is a story about werewolves, vampires and other supernatural beings featuring none other than our fav characters. Though, there's more to this story than what meets the eye. Ozai is after the pure breed, werewolf/vampire hybrid, and Katara and her friends must identify and protect this hybrid from both Ozai and Azula's crew.

Summary
Zuko clenched his fists. He must defeat the Avatar.
In the Bendylympics.
In a world where Sozin’s successor ended his war, there is a Bendylympics Tournament every ten years between the nations. This year, Toph Beifong (age 18) has been chosen from the Earth Kingdom. Katara (age 21) has been chosen from the water tribes. And Prince Zuko (age 22) has been elected from the Fire Nation after defeating his sister, Azula, in the national contest.
This Bendylympics is different, however, for two reasons. One - because an airbender is now in play - Aang (age 18), the Avatar, who emerged from an iceberg. He is only allowed to use airbending in the competition.
And - due to pro-nonbender social activism - a nonbender will be competing. This competitor is to be the world’s most respected warrior and most notorious spaz - Sokka of the Water Tribe.
This work will be a Zukka romance first and foremost, with some Aang/Katara thrown in, and good helpings of comedy and action.

Summary
See, the thing is— Agni fucking damnit— Zuko doesn’t regret helping Sokka rescue Hakoda from Boiling Rock. It was a step in the right direction, a display of loyalty, a step towards forgiveness. (Zuko doesn’t pale at the thought of loyalty. He doesn’t. He’s just tired, is all, tired and possibly dehydrated.)
However. He will concede that he may have inadvertently fucked himself over, because in the days and weeks after the rescue, Hakoda won’t stop looking at him with something like disappointment in his eyes. That’s not good. It’s really not good, actually, and in fact, Zuko might as well be dead where he stands. Well. He’s had a good run. Not really, but it’s easier if that’s what he tells himself. If he’s lucky, it won’t be too hard to find another firebending teacher for Aang, and—
Oh Agni. Oh fuck. He’s coming over. Smile, Zuko, smile for Agni’s sake, back straight, chin up, not too much, be non-threatening as possible— smile, Agni damnit, it won’t be as bad if he’s polite—
“Hey there. You seem a little pale, are you alright?”
It takes everything Zuko has to suppress a nervous laugh. He is really and truly fucked.

Summary
Iroh had always been good at faking tears. He had used that little trick in many ways. He’d sobbed his way through meetings where he was deciding which troops would die and which would live. It made people more sympathetic to the cause, after all. He cried in marketplaces to get better deals. He cried over food that was good to get free second portions. His skill would come in quite handy today.
As the smoke from the moo-sow’s pyre begins to spill into the sky, Ora is handed the prince said to be burning. He’s in a crate, same as all the animals her crew is picking up. She only knows this one has the boy in it because the man who hands him over looks her in the eye and says, “I’m fond of this one. Maybe find it a good home instead of butchering it?”
---
Iroh pulls some strings and fakes Zuko's death following the Agni Kai. He is handed off to a band of travelling traders (and sometimes pirates) who decide that the best place for a dead prince is as far away from his family as possible - The Southern Water Tribe.

Summary
Zuko is banished for speaking out during a war meeting. He is instructed to only come back when he has captured the avatar. He, however, thinks that's stupid. When he finds the avatar, he agrees to be the avatar's firebending teacher, and travel the world with his two companions, Sokka and Katara.
