I’m begging for your help, Princess.”
“A woman is more than her beauty,” I said. “You have a chance to make a life for yourself, not just to please a man.”
She made the coughing sound known as a “scoff” to show her disbelief.
“It comes so easy for you,” she said. “I will never be you. I can only be what I am. This is my last chance to be Lynesse, Queen of Love and Beauty, and I need your help to bring her back one last time.”

John Carter and Dejah Thoris of the Burroughs novels are mis-directed to the world of Game of Thrones, fulfilling two separate prophecies. Carter is a Confederate officer; his ideas might be considered unenlightened. Dejah is very good at killing people, but she feels bad about it.

Prior military life had prepared Sonic for just about everything. It hadn't prepared him for nothing, and there was a lot of nothing in this quiet place. At least until a Deku Scrub came into his life and forced him to face the world again. To face himself again.
His nemesis was still out there, somewhere. It could only be a matter of time before this world, too, met its end.
WIP : The second prequel of two (for the first prequel, please see “Zelda Invictus” [a completed work]); you might find “Seize the Deity” a more well-rounded work (though some portions of that are outlined rather than fully narrated).

Exerting great effort, he hauled himself upright and saw what he had suspected to be: they had dumped him on the beach, just above the tideline, with nothing to his name and no indication of where he was or how long he’d been there.
