Summary
“I need you to get in that boat, Archie,” he said softly but firmly in a voice that broke no argument. “We both know there’s no time to lose.”
He was right, of course. Already Titanic was sitting at an unnatural angle in the cold Atlantic water – an angle that was getting steeper and steeper by the minute. And yet Archie couldn’t bring himself to step into the lifeboat, couldn’t force himself to leave, not after–
“We promised to stay together,” he choked out. “Remember?”
Whumptober Day 23: Self-Sacrifice - The night Titanic sinks, Archie is forced to leave Horatio behind.
Whumptober Day 26: You will go down with this ship - Titanic sinks and Horatio and William are still on board.
Whumptober Day 27: "I'm fine. I prom..." - Horatio and William get rescued.

Summary
Another shot imbedded itself into the Indy’s bow, a handsbreadth away from Archie’s wrist.
“Please, Archie,” Horatio begged. “I don’t want you to get hurt.”
Archie gritted his teeth and pulled harder on Horatio's hand. “I don’t care.”
“But I do,” Horatio said, very softly.
Whumptober Day 1: "You have to let go." - During a battle, Horatio gets taken prisoner. Archie doesn't take it well.
Whumptober Day 4: "Do you trust me." - A rescue is planned and feelings come to light.
Whumptober Day 19: Just a scratch - Horatio gets rescued.

Summary
Archie took in Horatio’s face – sickly pale except for the two bright spots of feverish colour high on his cheeks – and felt his throat close up. Horatio’s brows were furrowed in muted distress and his breaths came in shallow, wheezy gasps that sounded weak and painful. He seemed worse than he had yesterday when Archie had seen him last.
“You have to hold on,” he choked out. “Do you hear me, Horatio? You have to fight.”
Whumptober Day 12: Begging - Horatio falls ill.
