4 Works in Angry Aramis | René d'Herblay
Prompt-fill. Five Times Porthos Stopped Aramis from Defending His Honor...and One Time Even Porthos Couldn't Stop Him.
When someone insults Porthos, Aramis reacts – even when Porthos would rather that he leave it alone. Over the years, Porthos learns how to prevent Aramis from coming to his defense, sometimes talking him out of it, sometimes taking a more direct approach. But every time, he appreciates that Aramis is willing to defend him...even if he shouldn't.
Set post Season 1. Musketeers are asked to sacrifice love, comfort, wealth, title…but the one thing they will not sacrifice is each other.
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
I think I see my brother coming, riding many a mile.
Brother, did you get me some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my brother, to keep me from the Gallows Pole?

DISCLAIMER: Nothing you recognize is mine. Including the odd movie line; I like to work quotes in here and there if I can.
Written for this meme prompt:
"Athos claiming he's just hungover when really he's injured, OT3 or gen."
Which prompt was inspired by this entry on the "20 things Athos is not allowed to do" fill:
"6. Claim he's hungover when he's actually injured. We know the difference; we're not fools."
And yet turned out way more serious than I thought it would.
Porthos gets injured on a mission, he tries to pretend he's fine. Aramis finds out when it gets much worse. He is furious.
