Dick laughs from behind him, but there’s no humor in his tone. It’s a dark laugh that promises danger and punishment. Jason shudders, almost falling apart in his predecessor’s grip.
“Caught you, Robin.”
Dick looks up. Jason can’t see him, but he can sense Dick’s eyes meeting with Joey’s. There’s a melancholic yet rather calm look on Joey’s face, and Dick doesn’t even acknowledge Jason's presence when he says, “What do you think we should do with a little whore who tried to escape?”
Jason shrinks in on himself, looking up at Joey pleadingly. Even when he knows it’s no use. Dick is here now. Dick has caught him—Dick has won.
After a failed escape attempt, Jason finds himself bound, gagged, and trapped inside a suitcase.

There’s a breakout at Essempei City Prison and the Titans (Sam, Ponk, Bad, Puffy, and Ant) must work with the Syndicate (Techno, Niki, and Phil) to prevent all of the city’s most dangerous prisoners from getting out.
This is set in @thatoneao3writer’s teen titans au (from Tumblr), but it’s meant to be sort of an introduction to the au, so no prior knowledge is required!
(Very minor Skephalo, DNF, and Velvetfrost btw. I didn’t tag it because it’s minor enough that it didn’t feel worth putting in the tags. Just setup, really, since none of them have really happened yet at this point in the ttau timeline.)

Scoffing changeling rolled his eyes as he took his now empty plate to the sink. So there was a new kid here, big deal give him a few more days and he’ll be yesterday’s news. Gar made his way out sparing one more look at the curly haired boy now surrounded by the rest of his friends. Right, just a couple more days to wait he thought, his nose wrinkling slightly.

For @thatoneao3writer’s teen titans au, on tumblr. Prior knowledge of the au will not be required to understand this fic, aside from a few details that I’ll explain here or in the notes as it comes up.
In the ttau, Scott was a scientist and Jimmy was a blue lantern. They met when they both got trapped in a simulation of 3rd Life, which happened pretty much exactly the same in the au as in canon, Flower Husbands marriage and all.
After they died, everyone was returned to their bodies unharmed, but with a lot of trauma. Everyone except Scott and Jimmy. Because of a glitch, both of them died in real life when they died in the simulation. Scott’s colleagues managed to upload his consciousness into a computer just in time to save him; Jimmy wasn’t so lucky.
But there might just still be hope.
