Summary
AU. Jemma Simmons works for S.H.I.E.L.D., helping save the world from her lab. On her first field mission, she's prepared for anything, except Leo Fitz, the brilliant and attractive MI6 agent she's been paired with. How is she supposed to survive two weeks undercover in Hawaii pretending to be his girlfriend? Fitz can hardly believe his luck when his partner turns out to be both smart and gorgeous, at least until they arrive at the resort and find that their hotel room comes with a slight problem: there's only one bed. A fake-dating AU with sun, sand, volcanoes, snorkeling, Spam, luaus, intrigue and two people who find a lot more than they expected in paradise.

Summary
Suddenly finding themselves in new surroundings, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will need to figure out how to get back home. Will Fitz and Simmons be separated again or finally have some time together? Fic is canon-compliant through Season 5, episode 12 with one exception. As the story begins, Season 5, episode 12 has just wrapped up and then something different has happened to the team. In terms of ships, the focus will be on FitzSimmons. The other canon ships (Philinda, Mackelena, and Bobbi/Hunter) are woven in, but they’re not the focus of the fic so I didn’t tag them. In addition to the FitzSimmons ship, the focus of this fic will be more on “team as family” as opposed to action and adventure.

As Daisy is saving the world, Fitz shoves Jemma out of the way just as the ceiling of the building caves in. She evades major injury, but Fitz is hurt. Badly. (Obviously. Unless you didn't see the finale, in which case I don't know why you need to read a fic about it being "fixed").
**Any of the specifics about injury and therapy are from my mother who is a physical therapist and I would like to thank her for my very intricate questions about partial paralysis and recovery.**

This fic is basically just a fun collection of the team's interactions 10 years later! What if May was confined to a wheelchair? What stories does Coulson tell his "grandchildren"? What happens on a double date between Fitzsimmons and Quakerider? I'll try to include all the characters at one point or another, including (but not limited to): Philinda, Mackelena, Quakerider, Huntingbird, Fitzsimmons, and more :))) Not all characters will be in every chapter, and you'll probably see more Jemma and Fitz than others because I'm most comfortable writing for them, but I'll do my best to give somewhat balanced "screen-time".
