Alexander's life went to shit on November 1st, 2017.
Until that day he'd been happily content working as the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, he'd been perfectly happy living with his boyfriends in the US and he'd definitely been happy never seeing his bastard of a father ever again.
But of course life had to fuck him over, didn't it?
Apparently, his bastard of a father was the King of The United Kindom and after the Crown Prince died his father went looking for him: the only heir to the British Throne. Now Alex and his boyfriends have to deal with a whole new bucket of drama when all they wanted was to eat some Thai food in their DC townhouse. -

He’d had his own share of flings, and she two boyfriends of her own over their friendship that had spanned the past twelve years of their lives. Even when he was in the only relationship he had ever been in with John, his love for her was still burning in the back of his chest. It was an inextinguishable fire that was constantly burning inside him.
He accepted it. He accepted the fact that they would never be anything but friends. Best friends. He accepted that was going to have to watch Eliza walk down the aisle into the arms of another man. He accepted that she was going to have children with another man and that the most that he would ever be to them was their weird Uncle Alex whom they only saw on Thanksgiving and their mother’s birthday (because their pact to always spend their respective birthday dinners with each other was never going to be broken goddamnit.)

The year is 1921. Come the end of the civil war in 1865, the abolition of slavery failed. America was forced to condone slavers. The slaves are strictly convicted criminals from here on out.
John Laurens is sold into slavery after being convicted of a felony. After spending a year in prison, he was sent to work as a slave for the rest of his life.
Laurens is bought by the newly risen slave-owner Alexander Hamilton, who was born poor and forced to thrive off of the slave trade to become wealthy.
Hamilton often confuses his slaves for friends, so in an agreement with his colleague Thomas Jefferson, he must properly “train” a slave. In public, Jefferson appears friendly as can be. But behind closed doors, very few know his cruelty.
Laurens accidentally finds himself slowly falling for Hamilton, who keeps trying to maintain distance to avoid breaking Laurens’ heart.
