Summary
To say Alastor is having a bad day would be an understatement. He's on edge, distracted, and certain events have it spiraling from bad to worse.
There are a few things that could improve it exponentially, all centering around his secret arrangement with a certain spider. The one who is spending an increasing amount of time occupying Alastor's thoughts.
Inspired by two absolutely amazing pieces of art by @AlisHumanoid and @DeeperVisions and the song itself. PLEASE go check them both out if you're not following already!
Started with an idea to try and write both takes into a fic, spiraled into a slow build up with a side of character study. All Alastor's POV. Mind the tags as some internal thoughts are quite dark.

Freya had spent hundreds of years in hell after her unexpected death in the living world. She was once a shield maiden in her village in Norway during the time of Vikings. She was well respected, until she was betrayed by one of her own and murdered.
After arriving to hell, she made a name for herself, having respect for her surprising power and strength. Eventually, she was on the same level as the Overlords with having territory. She worked as a lone wolf mostly.
However, Alastor arrived in hell and started threatening other Overlords and demons, including her. A rivalry began between the two for sixty years, before it finally settled into a truce. Although the truce was made, she still didn’t get along. Things began to change though as Freya started seeing a different side to Alastor as she learned more about him.
Eventually, they would become two of the most formidable demons in hell as an unexpected romance begins.

She alternates between the pursuit of absolution, and indulging in Alastor's games.
I've completed the story as a first draft, so I'll be releasing new chapters regularly. At the time of writing, the HH pilot and part of the prequel comic have been released. I've used these things, as well as supplemental materials (Q&As with VivziePop, HuniCast streams) to inform the plot; however, I will be using my own ideas too.

When Hell suddenly loses all working functions, and angels start dropping from their overhead perches to attack the underworlds population, Charlie has no idea what to do before she's suddenly face to face with a Archangel. Though something, clearly, isn't right about the air the angel assures her to keep those who are dear tucked tightly by her side as the disaster struggles to fix itself.
But nothing is as it seems, Overlords' powers are dwindling and even her own is becoming strained as she struggles to protect her beloved hotel and friends from the Exterminators outside.
