"Excuse me?" If she was drinking something she's sure to have choked on it. Luckily, the spit in her throat serves just perfectly fine to start hacking up.
"I'm your daughter. You're my mother. Mama said you were a bit slow on the uptake, but I didn't think it'd be this bad." The girl's nose crinkled a bit before she quickly fixed it with the previous smile.
"You're crazy, kid." With one last glance, Hope closes the door in the girl's face.
