"Can I help you?" The tattoo artist's voice was smooth and low, like velvet.
"Uh," Nero said impressively. The other man stared at him and when Nero still didn't seem to find his voice, the artist smirked a little ruefully and chuckled.
"Fine, come in. I don't usually take walk ins, but if you're that nervous, I doubt you'd come back," he said with amusement.
"Er, I'm not here for a tattoo," Nero said, scratching his chin. The artist stopped retrieving his tools and looked at Nero curiously.
"Chickening out already?"
Nero scowled sharply. "I'm not chickening out at all. I didn't come in here for a tattoo."
The artist leaned against his tattooing chair and folded his arms. "Then what do you want? If you're looking for daisies, you missed your stop. The flower shop is next door."
"Is that supposed to be an insult?" Nero asked.
"No? But the other way is a bridal shop and you don't look like the wedding dress type." The artist lifted an eyebrow mildly.
"And just what do I look like?" Nero asked challengingly.
