    Summary

Watson sits down in 1925 to retell a story of his and Holmes's past, specifically from April and May of 1895. This case was kept under wraps until 50 years after Watson's death, left to be read by an era more willing to embrace the truth of his life with Sherlock Holmes. During the two trials in the spring of '95 with Oscar Wilde at the Old Bailey courthouse, Holmes and Watson vanished from London to the English countryside to find safety from oppressive eyes. A minor burglary case sparks an elaborate escape plan put in place for two young women not dissimilar to themselves.

In this romance and adventure story, we see the mysterious untold story behind the serially published cases of the Victorian era. A love story between Holmes and Watson that has waited far too long to be told emerges effortlessly, and even in times of great societal struggle, they manage to maintain safety and happiness with the help of one another.

Late 1800’s* AU in which Victor Nikiforov and Yuri Katsuki are two men who are somehow both under the impression that the other is the suitor in their game of seduction.

Basically, two idiots enter into mutual pining and don’t understand that SOMEONE has to make the first move.

*Homophobia and sexism don’t exist in this historical AU because NOPE.

    Summary

"'You have committed a vile and savage act, one that any other nation would punish with death. Our punishment, on the other hand, will only be to give you what you want. You have sought to live in a world without boundaries of civilization, and such a world shall henceforth be your dwelling place.'"

    A cold-hearted murderer. A vicious abuser. A young man hiding a shameful secret. A bewildered immigrant. A pure-minded spy.

All of these men have found their appointed places at Mercy Life Prison, where it is easy to tell who your enemies are. But a new visitor to Mercy is about to challenge decades-old customs. Now these men's worst enemies may be hiding behind masks . . . and so may their closest allies.

Formerly posted as "Life Prison." Includes an illustration by Everybery in the end notes. This novel was a runner-up in the Gay Fantasy category of the Rainbow Awards 2014.

Boilerplate warning for all my stories.

The days leading up to the final breaking of his family were unremarkable. There was no auspicious sign or foreboding portent seen days in advanced. It, in fact, could hardly be called an ending. After all, Aberforth neither heard the bang nor the whimper.

(Set in 1890, so if things are a little off, like mentions of things that didn't exist quite yet, I'm sorry. I did as much research as I could for this.)

    Summary

"Fairview was the finest friend a man could have, and the finest battle-companion. I dared not risk doing anything that might break our friendship."

On a hot summer's day, on a high hill surrounded by the enemy, the best battle-companion can turn out to be the truth.

Rook and Fairview have worked alongside each other for years, first as officers in the navy, then as officers on a steamship, and finally as colonels in an invading army. Members of a nation where tiny differences in rank are considered all-important, the two men defy convention by treating each other as equals.

But now their life-long bond is about to meet its greatest strain, when they are ordered to seize and defend a hill whose landscape is unknown, in the company of soldiers who may be incompetent or treacherous. Will Rook and Fairview's friendship remain by the end of the battle? Or will their lives take an unexpected detour as they struggle to survive on Spy Hill?

[this is my friend's story - you can read it on Wattpad! username: @/elsa_jamie]

Ethan was kicked out of the house because he felt like a boy in a girl's body. the only words for that were sodomite or hermaphrodite, and both of those were negative. Both of those he was called by the people he thought were family. Both of those he believed he was.

Until he met Anthony "Racetrack" Higgins.

    {this story contains javid, and other boyxboy content, as well as my own OCs. it also revolves more around the strike than ethan, though he does play a role}

Nobody carries the banner quite like the vivacious smart-aleck Gavroche, or as he is known to his fellow newsies, Urchin. Featuring our beloved newsboys as well as our favourite student revolutionaries, and maybe even an ex-convict or two.

This is a repost from my FFN account with very minor edits. Bringing it here because damn, I've always been proud of this one.
