“Is this about our mutual friend?” Gaon asks. As he sinks down into his desk chair, Inguk locks the door to his office and the second man stalks around the room, as if checking the perimeters. “The room is clean. I check, regularly,” Gaon adds. “I didn’t bug our mutual friend’s office to then not assume someone might do it to me.” The second man snorts and sighs.
“We need to split up,” the second man says, to Inguk. Gaon leans forwards on his elbows. “I’ll take Kim pansa to the airport to pick him up, you have to get the rest of the team together. The sooner we get on this-”
“Tell me what’s going on.” Gaon interrupts him before he can finish his sentence. Inguk turns to him, troubled.
“It’s Elijah.”

A supernatural love story about an encounter in the woods when Gaon was kidnapped at age five. And as a result of a promise he had made then, Gaon ended up changing his life completely.
Chapter Seven: But in reality, Gaon had his arms wrapped around the waist of a man dressed in archaic clothing, and his face was buried against the crook of his neck.
Chapter Eight: And feeling as if he was changing everything – his fate, his life with what he was going to say next. Gaon went ahead because it felt right.

Persephone was the goddess of spring. She was forcefully abducted by Hades to be his wife.
Kore (The Maiden) was the goddess of spring. Bored, she showed up one day in the underworld, and refused to leave, ultimately marrying Hades and settling there for good. At a point Zeus gave up trying, and renamed her as Persephone, or the Bringer Of Chaos.
Elijah had told him both versions. He'd been unable to understand, back then, why the goddess would leave the sun behind to spend half the year in hell.
Then Elijah died. And Yohan followed. And then he himself walked into oncoming traffic.
And he understood. He was given a second chance, and this time, he'd take his place beside the devil, and burn the world down to keep him safe.
The sun, the law, his morals, he had no use for those anymore.

Three months have passed since Yo Han's final act of revenge and Ga On is struggling. Despite his best efforts, he hasn't been able to make much progress in straightening out the chaos Yo Han left in his wake. Each day, Ga On grows more and more frustrated, trying not to feel like a complete failure.
But, even worse than that, is the loneliness. Ga On knows he only has himself to blame for the emptiness he now feels, but he also can't help but long for what he once had. Which is why he almost doesn't dare to believe it when Elijah reaches out to him after months of silence. But Ga On knows better than to let the opportunity slip through his fingers. He's determined to set things right and, this time, he's not going to make the same mistakes.
What Ga On doesn't expect is just how overwhelming it will feel to suddenly have Yo Han back in his life. And that, maybe, he doesn't actually want things to return to what they used to be. Ga On wants something else entirely — something new, breathtaking, and frightening.
But oh so tempting.
