A Series of Challenges
“Which was it? Afghanistan or Iraq?” I do that thing where I waggle my eyebrows. A challenge. Anderson hates it. Everyone hates it. Go on, correct me. Tell me to piss off. Call me a freak. I’m not following the rules. I’m ignoring social norms and asking about something terribly personal and probably inappropriate. I haven’t even introduced myself. A military man is all about rules, conformity…he must hate me already.
“Afghanistan. I’m sorry, how did you…” He’s intrigued. Interesting. I’ve purposely assaulted his privacy and he wants to understand how. Not why. He doesn’t seem annoyed even, just curious.
Mike, well done you.
12/28/17: Added a BEEYOOOTIFULLLLLL piece of art that my bestie Beta_Jawn drew for me of our favorite OTP in the scene in Chapter 10! Check it out!! It's amazing!!!!! <3<3<3

- Part 1 of A Series of Challenges
1/8/18 Finally complete!!
Sherlock, in a bout of tremendous wisdom, decides to create an experiment measuring (via The Rage Scale, naturally) John’s reactions to various types of experiments in the flat. You know, for science. And to make sure John never withholds sex from him again. Obviously.
- Part 2 of A Series of Challenges
02 Aug 2018
Mycroft is tired of rescuing Sherlock from himself again, and again, and again. So, he decides to use his meddling for good and sets up his younger brother with a new job--working with New Scotland Yard as a consulting detective. However, DI Lestrade has some rules: Sherlock must find a safe place to live, must get clean, and must follow the NSY rules (actually they are Mycroft's rules, but don't tell Sherlock!).
And Sherlock really ought to get a flatmate--someone to keep him distracted, hold him accountable. That sort of thing.
You don't have to read the other stories in this series to read this one. This story follows the same arc as Relevance--my Sherlock POV ASiP fix-it--with a minor shift in time of year. I felt like writing about Spring, not Winter! This story has a twist in perspective to show how much Mycroft meddled in Sherlock's life for good.
What a helpful big brother.
