Summary
Jim was totally pumped. He was always like this, ‘pre-gig’, when he’d downed a can of redbull and was bouncing on the balls of his feet in front of a mirror. He tugged the tight black t-shirt down his chest when he finished bouncing, ran a hand through his (perfectly styled) hair, and turned to grin at his band mates. “You ready?”

Summary
Jim gave a laugh that sounded like a cough. His eyes were still blurry as he tried to look up at the man that was hovering over him. He was wearing scrubs, so he was obviously a doctor, but he kept looking around as if for someone to help him. Eventually there was a call that Jim couldn't make out, and the man attending to him looked down at him.
Damn he was hot.

Leonard was infatuated with Jim and he damn well knew it. He made sure he was there before Jim, and he felt nervous as he waited, wondering if he was going to show up today. Whenever he was in the room he couldn’t look away from him, and then when he left, he watched him right up until he couldn’t see him anymore, and then he would frown at the table top, wishing he would come back.

Leonard stood at the back door with Chapel, peering at the gigantic crater that now lay in his back garden. It hadn't been there when he'd left for work - he might have been a little out of it before a cup of coffee, but he was pretty sure he would've remembered a massive smoking hole that had destroyed Sulu's vegetable patch.

"You're the nanny?"
Jim smiled. It wasn't the first time he'd gotten that reaction. Sure, the line between gender specific jobs was becoming seriously blurred, but a male nanny was still pretty unheard of. Pretty unheard of, and often pretty unwanted. As was the case here, evidently.

Summary
It was nothing. It was a casual fling between a guy who'd just gotten out of a tough divorce and a guy whose self esteem was shot to ribbons despite the act he pulled. Bones - because he hadn't even known his name - left the crummy hotel room in the morning still wearing yesterday's clothes, and Jim Kirk wasn't surprised.
He was, however, surprised when he looked down at the little 3-minute pregnancy test a week or so later, and found that it was positive.

"Sir, he says he's not here for the girls. He said he's here for the uh- hot photographer."
That got Leonard to stop. He stood up straight and half-turned, looking over at the rickety tape boundary that had been erected to keep the general public out of their spot. There was a guy stood there, grinning from ear to ear.
"He looks like a jackass." Leonard muttered, lip curling.

Summary
Jim Kirk was the presenter of the Little Miss America pageant, and Leonard had no doubt why. Not only did the kid look pretty damn good in a suit (which would have kept the moms focused), but he was also full of himself, strutted across the stage as if he himself was a contestant, and spoke with a cocky grin and a suggestive tone to his voice. He was made to be a pageant presenter.

It was to be the honeymoon of a lifetime, as far as Leonard was concerned. He was finally marrying his childhood sweetheart, the girl of his dreams, and when they’d finally tied the knot and tied a lot of other knots in the hotel room (Jocelyn was a kinky bastard when she wanted to be) they’d jet off to start their two-month European Tour honeymoon.
And then Leonard was stood up at the alter.

He pulled him to the end of the plane, to the bathroom furthest away from the cockpit, and bundled him inside.

Summary
The baby grand piano has been sat in Jim's front room for a grand total of three months now, ever since is cooky Great Aunt Sandra had passed away and given it to him, of all people. He couldn't play so much as a single note on the thing, wouldn't be able to if he tried, but he liked having it. Spock could play pretty damn beautifully, but only because he was a freaking genius who could speak three languages by the time he was five, and Scotty could play it when he was drunk (or at least, that was what he thought), but Jim had no idea. No matter how many times he sat down in front of it and ran his fingers over the keys, he couldn't do it. He was a car mechanic; he was hardly the next Mozart.

Every week they would send a letter, and every week Jim would be bouncing out of his seat waiting for his reply. Miss Lacey always saved the letters until after lunch, so even though Jim would know that there was a letter waiting for him every Tuesday, he still had to wait what felt like forever to hear from Leonard again.

Summary
When Leonard returns home from his old life in Mississippi, it's easy to fall back in love with old flame Jim Kirk, but as easy as it is to fall in love, it's not so easy to be in love.
"Bones?"
The name startled him. He blinked, focusing on the face of the person in front of him. He was older now, of course, and his hair was darker than Leonard remembered it being. He had a few more scars, visible ones, but his eyes were just as brilliantly blue as they had been when Leonard had last seen him.
"Jim." He said, eyebrows raising in surprise. "Hi."

Jim became his "boyfriend", and he was pretty damn good at the act. He would more often than not, when he wasn't working at the cafe he had managed to get a job at, come in and meet Leonard in the hospital cafeteria for lunch, because "that's what couples do, Bones, no wonder you and your wife split up, Jesus". And that stung more than Leonard would care to admit, but he let it slide.

"I need your help." Leonard said, looking pointedly at his face and not the newspaper he was using to cover his junk. "Remember how you said you were good at digging up dirt?"
"You've got herpes?" Jim asked, head tilting. "I didn't expect that from you Bones, but I guess I could help you-"
"No, dumbass." Leonard snapped, watching as Jim chuckled. "I just need to get in touch with some people I... lost touch with."

Summary
Lea didn't really want to leave her there, especially not alone with the wolves that roamed in the forest at the end of the garden, but she thought this way was best. She was rummaging around in the linen cupboard for something warm when she heard a loud bang, and then another, and then another against the side of the house. She stood, listening for the noise again.
That was when she heard the ear-splitting howl of a wolf.

freedom (to be who you are) by liionne

Summary
A lot of people were scared of Leonard and Christine- well, not scared, but put off. The jet black hair with bright tips and highlights, the dark clothes, the smudged eyeliner, and the smoking behind the English department during free periods. And the skull and crossbones on the shoulders of his leather jacket did nothing to make him more appealing. That was kind of the idea.
But Jim had never seemed uneasy around him. Not any more than he was around anyone else, anyway. He looked up, his hands shaking and his cheeks bright red. He blushed even deeper, a feat Leonard hadn't known was possible, and looked up at Leonard through large, square-rimmed glasses.
