Red Queen Chronicles

Tony looked up from his tablet as security escorted a young blonde woman into his office. Twenty minutes before, he couldn't have picked her out of a crowd. He hadn't known her name, nor her position in his company. Now, he knew that Cassandra Campbell had been working as a lab assistant for 3 years. Tony knew she was 24 years old, that she had an impeccable attendance record and, according to her file, she was on the fast-track to a promotion. He also knew she was a liar.
A lab tech with dubious genetics and a history with the new Director of SHIELD. She's been working in New York since right before the invasion, but she doesn't like to talk about it. What does she have to do with Loki and what will happen once he comes back?

Cassie Campbell brings her teammates and friends together for her first ever Christmas dinner. 2 aliens, an atheist, her boyfriend's ex-wife, her ex-boyfriend and an all-American lab rat worried about her mental health. What could go wrong?
"Awesome. Everyone's gonna be here. Well, not everyone. Still can't seem to get a bead on Banner and he doesn't really seem like the Christmas type, but... Clint, Nat, Vision, Wanda, Sam, Phil and his crew and you and Pepper are definitely coming. I have a raven to Asgard-don't ask- and an invitation traveling USPS to New York for Steve. It's an actual paper Christmas card. Hallmark just says some things better than me."
"No. You just wanted to make Rogers feel at home. All those words you throw around, no one could say it better than you."
Cassie chuckled. "I got a blank snowman card and wrote inside it. You know me so well, Tony."

"Is Clint with you?" Natasha asked, her voice serious.
"Of course, he is."
"Put me on speaker. I have to talk to you both."
"About the Accords?" Cassie asked, pressing the button to send the Russian's voice to speaker. "'Cause I'm not signing."
"I'm retired." Clint walked up next to Cassie.
"This is a big deal. You have to, at least, think about it, guys."
"Think about a group of men who've never been in a room with a supervillain telling me when and what I can do about those villains? Do you think those men would have let you guys come after me when I was with Loki? Do you think they would've let you come to rescue me when I was in Austria?"
Cassie Campbell won't sign the Accords. It's not about pride, though, it's about what's right.

Loki breaks into T'Challa's lab in Wakanda after finding HYDRA's red book and brings Cassie's true self out. Who is she now and how will everyone else take to the new Red Queen?
Loki watched as Cassie blinked her eyelids slowly, as if everything was suddenly clear. "Undo her restraints." Cassie stepped down from the tank and looked around. "How do you feel, Joanna? What's different?"
"Shut up, Loki." She whispered, before turning to the scientist. "Run. Now. Go."
Loki watched in amusement as the man ran from the darkened lab. "How are you, my queen?"
"Not as different as you would want." She leaned against the desk and looked up at Loki, disdainfully. "You really thought I'd come out on the other side of this ready to be your bride?"
"I wasn't sure how you'd come out of it, Joanna. I was actually hoping you'd go all stiff and ready to take direction like that other one."
Cassie smiled, slightly. "Someone's feeling a little flaccid without his scepter."

Cassie Campbell is gone. Cat Carpenter is trying to fit in with Coulson's team, but Hawkeye gives her the creeps. Maybe a night off will fix things.
"She looks wrong with brown hair." Clint grumbled.
"Yeah, that's the problem with this setup. It's not that SHIELD kidnapped this woman and turned her into a completely different woman; it's that she's not blond, anymore." Daisy said, sarcastically.
"If you're not on board with this, Daisy, you can stay at HQ."
"Coulson, you know I've got your back and I know that you think you're doing the right thing, but... I'm not wrong." She said, pointedly.
"This is how things need to be."
"Because that's how you two want things? Like I said I've got your back, of course, and I know that wiping out the bad and giving someone a new life can be a good thing; but did ya really wipe her because it was the best thing for her?"
"Look, her whole life has sucked, from the minute she was created to when she ruined Bobbi and Hunter's marriage. We took all of that from her, gave her a background of happiness and family. We lasered her scars away and gave her a new purpose. This is better for her." Phil answered.

Cassie Campbell is happy on Asgard, doing her research. What will she do when Thor returns home?
"Cassie. How did you get here?"
She raised an eyebrow and looked pointedly behind him. "Loki was in charge. All I had to do was ask."
"You knew he stole the throne."
"I tried to tell you. You didn't believe me."
"You should have persisted!"
"Right, and ruin Christmas by explaining that Loki told me about it when I was Joanna and I didn't tell anybody after I got back from Austria because I was in a free-fall breakdown and after that, we had Ultron to worry about? Because bringing up Ultron is a surefire way to kill any party."
"This is more important than your party!" Thor stepped forward, intimidatingly, but Cassie didn't back down.
"That party was about family, Swayze! If you still consider me a sister, you will understand that it may not have been important to anyone else, but it was important to me. And Loki might be a self-obsessed crumb, but he hasn't been a terrible king. Asgard has been fairly happy with his rule."
"Are you defending him? Why are you defending- Loki's enchanted you again."
"Have not!" Loki stepped to Thor's side.

Cassie Campbell's trying to help save the world from Thanos, while dealing with the regrettable decisions she made on Asgard and trying to keep her pregnancy a secret until it's confirmed by science instead of Heimdall's magic.
"Who could find Vision, then?" Strange asked as Tony paced away from the group.
"Probably Steve Rogers. Maybe. But..." He sighed, deeply, and Cassie looked down.
"Call him." Bruce demanded.
"It's not that easy." Tony said, turning to the other scientist. "God, we haven't caught up in a spell, have we? I take it Cassie hasn't explained-"
"There wasn't time for that, Tony." Cassie whispered.
"The Avengers broke up. We're toast."
"Broke up? Like a band, like-like the Beatles?" Bruce asked.
"Cap and I fell out hard. We're not on speaking terms. Normally, I'd send the blond girl as liaison, but I have a feeling that he's not gonna wanna hear from her, either. Sorry, kid, I watched the video."
Cassie looked down as Bruce stepped up to Tony. "Tony, listen to me. Thor's gone, Thanos is coming, it doesn't matter who you're talking to or not."
