Description:

Inspired by a random thought during a marathon random re-watch of SF Debris Voyager reviews, A Fire of Devotion (named for a lyric from a Florence + the Machine song*) is about a hypothetical pairing of Seven of Nine and Ensign Samantha Wildman.

* Ironically, the song in question is called "What Kind Of Man." Ironic since the core relationship of the story is about a same-sex relationship between two cisgendered women.

Notes:

While the pairing itself is my idea, many of the other Voyager canon tweaks and changes are inspired by other SF Debris reviews (chief among them having Harry Kim retain his memories of the Year of Hell), though a handful are ideas I came up with myself re: things I think Voyager could've done better/would've been done differently on the show had the Seven/Samantha relationship been done on the show (unlikely thought that is, and if it had it probably wouldn't have been written very well; I love Star Trek obviously, but I'll be the first to admit that Trek stories that center around sexuality tend to be mediocre at best and painful at worst (looking at you Profit & Lace)).

Also I freely admit to cribbing some jokes and one-liners from sources ranging from Avengers: Age of Ultron, to Gilmore Girls, to the Saints Row video game franchise.
