Summary
Thorin and Kili survive the Battle of Five Armies, only to realize that they are diving headfirst into a very different battle of a very different kind.
Love knows no boundaries; it crosses cultures, languages, and ages. But that doesn't make it any easier, especially when you must find your place with the one you love in a world that already has already been made.
--
Except for Thorin and Kili being alive (and Tauriel existing) going to try to keep things within canon/Tolkien universe as much as possible while exploring what it means to love someone unconditionally… also thoughts and themes on culture, prejudice, and life in general…
Finally... still have no idea how the tags work, so if you think of one that should be there, please feel free to comment... :)

Summary
Sequel to "By Your Side"
It picks up right where we left off-- Bilbo and Thorin have just gotten married.
Continues on the themes from before- overcoming prejudice and navigating cultural differences, but now introducing the complexities of parenthood as well as exploring the (deceptively simple) question “what is family?”
Still canon-compliant for the most part, taking a lot of artistic liberties when it comes to cultural interpretation and some timeline things, but trying to make it so the whole thing could arguably sit between Hobbit and Fellowship without really changing the events of either book (or movie):
All shall crash and all shall burn,
Gone to ash when he returns.Smite the light from moon and star,
Cover the sun for he has come:
The Lord Who Cannot Die shall rise,
From beneath the putrid skies,
And all shall crumble, one by one.Succumb to darkness and your fate,
Night is coming, the hour is late. But—
Beneath the earth, a precious gem,
Lost and found and lost again.
A son of Durin’s mighty line:
For should this son come to arise,
The Dark Lord meets his last demise.Series

Concerning Dwobbits (can replace chapter 6 of "I'll Always Be") by nori_mari

Choose Your Own Adventure ;)
For anyone who was hoping for a dwobbit in "I'll Always Be," I now present the option to choose your own adventure featuring dwobbit Frodo <3 <3 <3
This can be read instead of Chapter 6 (or I guess you could read both) of "I'll Always Be" for dwobbit joy and general cuteness (maybe a little angst, but nothing more than usual and they get over it pretty fast). The timeline is as close as I can get it to be able to sync up with chapter 7, and let's face it, so is the logic, but I hope it's passable to all who have ventured further into this territory than I have.
A heads up:
Bilbo is pregnant but there are no graphic or controversial descriptions of anything (I mean, I guess other than the fact that it features a pregnant male character?)If this isn't your thing, it's okay, no worries, just ignore this whole thing completely and read chapter 6 ;)
Finally… I don’t know how much sense it will make on its own, I think it sort of has to be read within context of its parent story, but live and let live, read on if you like :)

Does it count as a swear word if nobody knows what it means? The joys of a multi-lingual household <3
A little side story that fits into "I'll Always Be," but I guess it makes sense on its own, too. It didn't quite fit the themes of its parent story, so I ended up leaving it out in the end, but here it is for anyone who can relate (or not?) :)

Summary
Last leg of their story, part 3 of "More Than Anything."
Canon-compliant with the books/movies, which means Thorin dies before the events of Fellowship start :'( They all get a (canon-compliant) eventual happy ending though <3
The outside world is growing darker. But life goes on-- Frodo is growing up, and Thorin deals with the complexities of raising his child in what's essentially a foreign country to him. Continuing to explore what "family" means to different cultures, as well as the general joys and hardships of parenthood, and also coming to terms with your own mortality:
"And when my time is up, have I done enough?"
(do I have to credit Hamilton for the quote...? If so, thank you Hamilton. No there are no crossovers, just this final thought to bring us to the end of Thorin's story...)
Death is another adventure, after all...

Summary
Bilbo grew up in a world of prejudice, only to fall in love with a dwarf and face a whole new world of prejudice. But Erebor offers one thing that the Shire does not, which makes all the difference...
--OR-- Exploring the subtle and invisible gift of being able to be the same person outside your front door as inside.
This takes place right in the middle of By Your Side-- Mostly, it's a theme that got touched on but I didn't delve as deeply as I'd wanted to for the sake of keeping things moving along. So here we are, on a short side story exploring what would make someone want to abandon their homeland and move halfway across the world (other than being Thorin's lover... which... is one good reason, but there has to be more if their relationship is going to last!).
Bilbo and Thorin have just returned to Erebor. I think it makes enough sense to be able to be read on its own, although there's some references to its parent story.
