psychologically very plausible, accurate and realistic;
portrayal of psychiatry and psychiatric practices at the time also very realistic;
abuse of power by a psychiatrist (which *does* happen sometimes);

The first fic is decent, the initial chapters are quite well written and interesting from Sherlock's POV, but then then plot does drag and get a little unrealistic. Still plenty of good fun as H/C fic. However, the rest of the stories in the series are just painful. Terrible (what appears to be self-insertion by the author as an) OC Kate, who doesn't seem to have interesting characterisation and Sherlock's interactions with her are completed OOC. Give those a miss.
