The facts are these:
1. The Shades of Marmora sits directly across from Abercrombie and Fitch, which had to hire a new model for the summer seeing as their old one--Lotor--had vacated the continent for the summer to provide himself with a plausible-if-you-squint-really-damn-hard excuse for a British accent.
2. Abercrombie and Fitch’s new model is six foot plus of well-muscled beefcake and Keith wants to climb him like he’s the jungle gym at Vreparty Sal’s.
3. No one should fill out a polo shirt that well, especially not one with a fucking moose embroidered on it.

“Jiejie needs to take better care of herself,” Luo Binghe says, guiding Shen Yuan towards the couch.
“Mm.” Shen Yuan hums noncommittally. Their couch is fairly new, but their cat, Pickle, uses it as a scratching post. There are deep gashes at the top of both arms and Shen Yuan picks at some of the stuffing coming out of the couch arm to her right.
Luo Binghe gives Shen Yuan an unreadable look. “If you move I will put you right back.”
“I remember when you used to be shy,” Shen Yuan laments. “They grow up so fast.”
“I still thought butterfly clips were a bold statement,” she says, without much heat behind it.
“Little Bingmei, you were so cute and fluffy,” Shen Yuan says.
“Jiejie doesn’t think I’m cute anymore?” Luo Binghe says. Her lower lip trembles and her eyes glisten.
Shen Yuan has seen this trick too many times to fall for it, and yet—“Come here.”

"I don't trust him."
“What's not to trust?”
“His Dmitiri from Anastasia hair, his cocky attitude, his sim scores, his everything,” Lance says, waving his arms.
Veronica sits, a look of realization dawning on her face. “I can’t believe I never put that together--”
“Yes thank you, Veronica--”
“--he looks exactly like Dmitri from Anastasia. Wow.”
“Okay I take it back, you’re not helping.”

“I’ll see you in class Wednesday, then,” Shiro says, turning back to his desk. It’s a clear dismissal.
Lance can’t find it within himself to leave, though. It’s the way that Keith is leaning into Shiro’s space. Like he belongs there like Shiro’s already consented to letting Keith inside of his personal bubble, and more than that, like he doesn’t mind. Like he wants Keith to be there, too.
They’re still talking, but it’s too low for Lance to make out and Shiro takes a moment to break from his whispered conversation to look over Keith’s shoulder and wave.
Lance leaves, but as he does, he can’t help remembering one important fact.
Shiro is married.
- Part 4 of amnesty
“You seem tense.” Shiro circles around the back of the pilot’s chair and curls a hand around Keith’s shoulder. He digs his thumb into the place where Keith’s shoulder slopes up and curves into the elegant line of his throat. It’s a hard knot of muscle. Keith’s going to need something stronger than a massage. That’s fine: Shiro’s never backed down from a challenge. That’s why they’d paired the two of them, after all; to see if they could tame one another where everyone else had failed.
Shiro leans in, hovers just alongside Keith’s ear.
“That’s Lieutenant,” Keith shoots back, eyes never leaving the holo-screen in front of him.
