Robot!Erik falls in love, takes over the world, and keeps Charles in a giant birdcage. And then, it gets complicated.

A cracky, fluffy series, full of ridiculousness, all the feels, and pop culture references, written for Unforgotten's Three Laws of Robotics prompt on the kinkmeme.

Written for this prompt on the kinkmeme: The Three Laws of Robotics (Isaac Asimov!):
1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

Inventor!Charles purchases a ERI model personal assistant robot thingy, and calls it Erik. Now, inventor!Charles is quite the busy man, always working in his lab, so he's constantly sending robot!Erik out on errands for him.

The only problem? Robot!Erik takes the Three Laws a little TOO seriously. If Charles sends him to the post office, he's likely to take an hour getting home because there was a cat up a tree and a little girl was crying about it. If Charles sends him to buy groceries, he's likely to be in there until closing time causing a commotion by removing cookies and chips from people's carts. If Charles sends him to take the car in for an oil change, he's likely to max out Charles' credit card to help people pay for repairs they otherwise would leave the shop without.

The Three Laws are inconvenient, to say the least. So Charles decides it couldn't hurt to...turn them off.

And then Erik starts a revolution.

And Charles is all "...what just happened."
