I left you guys a talkback but I haven't even finished listening to the whole thing yet! :P Just wanted to talk about Teen Wolf so... yeah. Apologies in advance for not editing my talkback for you. I usually over-edit and today I wanted to relax and let go about it a bit. :P

Also, I'm really sorry I can never remember which one of you said what or really easily tell apart your voices. It's a flaw in my listening abilities. :P I know that came up briefly in my talkback.

    1. I'm listening to your talkback as I type this, I love that you love Teen Wolf:D

One thing I was curious about because it's often something I have issues with in general with teen oriented shows: you said you liked the way the parents were portrayed, can you expand on that?

Sure. You may notice I've written a fic about Melissa and also my first podfic was Melissa/Sheriff. I made a Chris Argent/Allison Argent fanvideo long before I knew Allison was even going to be killed off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V77fhB1yUQo I guess I just really like that they try hard to let all the kids realistically have parents in their lives -- Liam's stepfather, Kira's parents, Lydia's mom, etc, etc. And that often these characters have scenes outside of just their children, and careers, and enough depth that you can feel for them. That in a teen-oriented show they do a good job with the adults too.

I guess I love multiple things about it. I love the Parent/Child relationships, some more than others but all feel kind of realistic to me and easy to expand on in fic form, and I love how nuanced the adults often are, how even after his only child died, Chris Argent had a role to play in the show, or how important the Sheriff and Melissa can be to characters other than their own children and even to just the plot, etc. :P

Comparing it to other shows where the lead cast is high school characters, like idk, Glee, or even Faking It (another MTV show), the adults are just so much more there in this show and I love it.

One Tree Hill did it fairly well, too, I guess, and Gossip Girl -- they tried to have main characters of both age ranges, kind of. But I didn't appreciate those parents the way I appreciate the Teen Wolf parents.

This is a nice example of some of the awesomeness that makes me genuinely love Teen Wolf, and not just the fandom: http://luvtheheaven.tumblr.com/post/134470915527/haletostilinski-core-five-powerful-quotes I mean it's a fandom creation, a gifset, but of canon quotes about who the characters are/what they really said not in fanfiction but on the show itself. ;)

And as for the parent/child relationships, I love so many on so many shows, and on Teen Wolf it was hard for me to choose just 1 as my fave when hosting this particular fanvideo collaboration amongst 9 of my friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwcdmKYPHmk I picked, ultimately, Melissa/Scott though. ;)
