Comment on Upcoming changes to kudos

  1. The reason this is happening is because /they were about to run out of room to store kudos/. They're not deleting kudos for fun- duplicate kudos that only exist because of a bug at all, and aren't even legitimate- if they hadn't made this database change, then soon, we wouldn't have been able to leave kudos at all, because they were running out of room to store them.

The solution to that is... really not to suddenly exponentially increase the number of kudos that are able to be left.

If you struggle to leave a comment, you really can just leave a comment that says "kudos" or "<3" or something simple like that! That also helps writers see what chapters their audience prefers as well.

    1. I rather have the ability to leave kudos then not at all... Im glad they are informing us of the change.. Alot of websites never do that and just do it without telling anyone. If the database runs out of space it opens the gate to other glitches that can be easily avoided

    2. That is a pretty good idea. Not that I have a problem in commenting tho.

    3. Sorry, I don't think my brain was working properly when I commented that. That seems really obvious looking back on it. I've read through some of the other responses to the original comment and the kudos per chapter/one kudos/no kudos debate seems pretty nuanced, so I'll do some research before I comment on this topic again. And thank you (danon) for explaining it for me.
