  1. Storms Eye by ReneAusten
    Fandom: Marvel (Thor) Pairing: Loki/Sigyn
In Asgard, post-Avengers, Loki is drawn into a whirlwind of deceit and ancient blood debt surrounding one of the Queen's handmaidens. At the same time, a shadowy menace stalks Asgard, eluding capture despite Thor's best efforts. When these two quests intertwine, Loki must confront both the rift between himself and his brother, and the sacrifices he is willing to make to meet his heart's greatest need.

Why I recc: ReneAusten's attention to world-building and characterisation is incredible. Not only should this be a published novel, but it should be a movie in itself. (Fortunately, it's so well-written, I can easily see it play out behind my eyes as I read.)

The Death of Kylo Ren by Nymja
Fandom: Star Wars | Pairing: Kylo/Rey
Summary: Rey knows a lot about being lonely. Enough to recognize it in other people.

Why I recc: On-point characterisation, incredible plot... It is so much better than the canon fodder we got in the end. Also, I'm 200% sure the author is a professional author, writing a bit of fanfic on the side. Am I right?

Seldom All They Seem by ambiguously
Fandom: Star Wars | Pairing: Kylo/Rey
Summary: After a terrible accident, Rey wakes up to discover she doesn't remember the last five years.

Why I recc: Cleverly written inception style vibes. Compelling story. Brilliant characterisation.
