Comment on Important changes to adding work, chapter, and series co-creators

  1. Katharine Hepburn as Eleanor of Aquitane in The Lion In Winter

It's already possible for users to remove themselves from co-created works. It's a button that appears on the Edit page of any work with more than one creator - "Remove Me as Co-Creator". One click and it's done!

    1. Does the remaining author get a choice between being named as sole creator and sharing cocreatorship with an orphan account? Because I think some people, especially if they contributed like 30-40% and would have done some things very differently but for the co-creator, might want to preserve a work and stay associated with it, but wouldn't want people to think it's 100% theirs...

      1. The easiest fix for this, I think, is the same one they mentioned in the update notes: just include an attribution to the other author in the Notes section, OR, if the co-creator removed themselves because they don't want to be associated with the work, leave a note saying the work was a joint project (and politely decline to name with whom) and that's why certain things are/turn out they way they are.
