  1. So that last bit is kind of a reference to this idea that you can't truly understand Akihiko without understanding Shinjiro, and vice versa (also why their outfits were similar). Kanji's just her best touch point for understanding him. They were both the deliquent type growing up, and still don't feel compelled to force a good impression if it's disingenuous. Aki can easily slip back and forth between his sweet side and his gruff side, and Shinji's her best way to learn more about that and help her solidify that a person can contain multitudes - you can't just pick and choose.

    And PERHAPS that gives Naoto permission to think about the different sides of her that exist...? *hint hint, nudge nudge*
