Comment on Nutcracker: The Education of Little Miss Rey

Before I write the incest story, I have checked America's statutory law, including the Romeo and Julie clauses - if the adult is, for instance, less than three years older than the minor, no crime has been committed or the penalty is far less severe.

But the thing is, Ben is always ten years older than Rey as in my story, and even if they are within the three-year gap, they are in an adopted siblings, so it really doesn't count.

Interestingly, if they are blood cousins (for example, if Rey is the daughter of Luke), they can actually get married and have biological children once Rey is over 17 in some states of US (for example, NY). That really opens my eye, because it is forbidden in my country to do so.

    1. Yes, you’re right. If it’s within three years age difference it’s considered a relationship. The blood cousins marrying is/was more common in the Southern states, but still frowned upon anywhere even if distantly related. It’s become a sort of crude joke, stereotype, especially if there are a lot of genetic problems apparent in the offspring.

Yeah, genetic problems in the offspring is the main reason cousin marriage is frown upon, so that's why Ben resists very hard in the beginning of Alderaan, because he doesn't want a two-dick baby (shamelessly insert my double dick Ben Solo series here).

In the past, when I was a slash fangirl, sibling incest story is common in certain fandom (Supernature), because they cannot produce children anyway. But then comes the ABO trope, and male pregnancy is all the rage.

And somehow ABO rages through Reylo fandom, and many fangirls are crazy about that. To me, if a biological trait reduces humans to basic animals, how do a society evolve or function properly.
For example, you have to leave from school/work because you are in heat/rut, it will create a lot of problems for your company/school, what about national security?
Are betas the backbones of our infrastructure?
I guess everyone in reality is beta in that way.
That's the reason I haven't dabbed in ABO Reylo, even though I know it will certain gain more popularity. I will stick to my dark fic and little foot fetish niche for the time being.

        1. The “two dicks” joke had me howling! But then he finds out they’re unrelated by blood, so it’s “okay.” Lol.

In ABO Reylo, there is no male pregnancy — at least I haven’t read any — the rules of human biology still apply except it’s on steroids with werewolf-like traits, so to speak, in males who present as Alphas and females as Omegas. (There are male Omegas and female Alphas but to me that’s just too confusing.) It’s a hangover from the ancestors and because those born with it have no control, it’s considered a medical condition and laws have been put in place to allow heat/rut leave from work and school. Though, alphas and omegas still face a lot of social prejudice from betas.

But then he finds out they’re unrelated by blood, so it’s “okay.” Lol.
And the moment he sees Rey's holo-picture, he is two steps away from flying in his Silencer to Naboo to propose to her. That's literally love at first sight.
But our Benny Boy in TFA freezes and kidnaps Rey after meeting her for like five minutes, so I think everything Ben does in my fanfics to pursue Rey is justified. LOL

            1. That’s exactly what he does in canon! And that’s what makes it so hilarious and sweet.

So I added a line in the Nutcracker, the main reason Ben came home for the holiday is because Leia has pulled some strings through the intergovernmental networks, and somehow it makes the story even scarier.
So Ben knew what Rey looks like and her love of ballet, but he has only sent them ONE postcard and bought her a gift, quite normal.
But then he saw Rey in person and intentionally explained the meaning of the nutcracker in a way that is really inappropriate to a susceptible girl. And he does all this in front of his parents who do not notice a thing.
Consider he is going to do the unspeakable things, and when Leia and Han eventually find out, shit will really hit the fan. Who is to blame?
Again, I may be plotting too much for my own good.

                1. Oh, wow. She has no idea what she has done. But Leia in the beginning was never innocent, correct? She just adopted Rey to help her political career?

Yes, in a way, Rey helped her successful political career. And when things go down, she cannot let the incest scandal out because it will hurt her reputation, it will be a skeleton in the closet.

                    1. Damn! I think Leia has a few skeletons in that closet, lol!

Yes, because when I said "heartbreaking loss", I didn't exactly mean Ben leaving for the middle east.
There are quite a lot of skeletons in the Skywalker-Organ house, it seems.
