So this was not how I imagined the panty incident had gone down, from the way Dean said "we kinda liked it" in the show, with the leer and everything. But it feels true that Dean wouldn't have been able to completely acknowledge the truth of his feelings about it without trying to laugh it off, even to "himself", and this was so much better than if it had been a silly dare.
I'm always humbled by how many people are moved by this particular telling (one, I'm sure, of many). It's near and dear to my heart and I'm glad you were touched by it and took the time to comment!
