Comment on The Lion, The Wolf and The Dragon

  1. Yeah but since Robert is alive Tywin wouldn’t allow that to happen just for no reason unless it involves himself and the family name. In the series Gregor attacked on Tywin orders cause of the arrest of tyrion regardless of Robert ruling or not. Gregor first attack without a incentive it doesn’t feel like a Tywin

Point taken but when I was writing those I was thinking about the Mongol Horde and the Hunnic Empire during their raids and expansions. First reason, can't blame Tywin on this matter. Gregor may be a dog/hound to Tywin but he has his own motives. Second, like I said earlier, chevauchée isn't uncommon for two great factions to plunder one another without causing war. It doesn't have to involve anything like himself or the family name, war is war; you do it for your benefits. My vision of war is more drastic and deliberate than both in the books and the shows, regardless. Last but not least, isn't GoT/ASOIAF supposed to be realistic? I take my historical knowledge (however great or bad it is) into account to make it more realistic. I don't usually use wikipedia, most of the time I use historum site.

Concerning Aegon VI Targaryen and Jon Snow (aka Aegon Targaryen in the shows), what do you think of my reply earlier?

By the way, there are several questions I want to ask:
      Imperials or Stormcloaks?
      Dawnguard or Volkihar Vampires?

      1. Let the book and series take its time on getting the info on griff. Then descide what to do. Imperials are religious suppression as stormcloaks are racist. Not sure But I’m for imperials cause of uniform.

Oh well I try , still just the Gregor first attack part is very iffy to me. Reason I’m sticking to this story cause it’s good and the writing. If it wasn’t for those 2 i left this story already. But dude any naruto I’ll leave it. I can’t bra I can’t.

I was about to reply to you last night but I fell asleep due to headache. First of all, the Imperials are not religious suppressors. They're forced to signed the White Gold Concordat as a sign of truce with the Dominion. They can worship Talos if they want to, but that would risk opening another war between the Imperial Legions and the Dominion. Secondly, the Stormcloaks are not racist; you can say they're xenophobic - suspicious towards outsiders or other races, but racist? Not really. They hate the High Elves (or the Ald. Dominion) because they outlawed the worshiping of the Ninth Divine, Talos.

Good picked, I'd side with the Imperials because they WERE the ones who kept the Dominions out of Skyrim, and also a united Empire means a strong empire. It's a tactic the Dominions trying to ploy called "Divide and Conquer". I see that you haven't played Dawnguard or Dragonborn DLC yet?

I thought about the Naruto thing we have discussed already, lol

          1. Since ya mentioned braeden had a legion faction. It was something he felt familiar with in his past life “Skyrim legion of the imperials”. It felt 2nd nature to set up a army like that yet he doesn’t know why yet. If this dovakin reincarnate your doing was in the imperial side of the video game

            1. Also Tywin in your view as Attila the Hun or mongol or whatever. I don’t see it. The man is a” baron “not a conqueror like that. Yes he’ll conquer but In a different sort of mood and atmosphere . He’s like the king “Edward I” in brave heart. A man of ambition and family name of that sort. Aswell as the emperor in witcher “Emhyr var Emreis”( same voice actor of Tywin”).

Tywin Lannister is one of the most important and essential baron in the novel, that is true, but his mindset works differently (in terms of strategical and tactical). He IS like Attila/Genghis. Tywin obliterated House Tarbeck and House Reyne, setting their ancestral seat to the torch. Just like how Genghis Khan did to the Khwarezmian Empire when the Mongols sent an envoy to their capital but the diplomat was beheaded and sent back to the Khan. Yeah, I'm pretty sure their mindset is almost similar.

I didn't know Emhyr is voiced by Charles Dance (actor of Tywin Lannister). I never played Witcher so -shrugs-

                1. Ok didn’t know ghengis did that. For braeden if he is someone from elder scrolls reincarnate. He has a hobby of drawing pictures. Like dragons m, orcs, elves. Castles. The past images he sees as dreams( elder scrolls) . Why does he have these dreams he asks.

That is IF. I never mentioned anything that Braenden (the OC) was a legionnaire or sided with the Imperials. The part where he has "visions" of his "past lives" sounds great, on the other hand.
