  1. Evil begins when you begin to treat people like things - Terry Pratchett

Gosh, I'm really sorry... I seem to have offended quite a few people. I wasn't trying to be rude or to insult the fic - I like AU's that are as unlike the original as can be imagined. I absolutely did not mean that statement as an insult.

All I was really commenting on is that it takes a vivid imagination to take someone like 'holy tax accountant' Cas and make him realistic as a punk, and still Cas as we all love him... and I admire that.

The comment was written half-awake while I got ready this morning, just trying to leave my thoughts on a cool story I read, and I do plan to go back and edit it to say what I actually mean as soon as I can put the words together.

    1. I see where you're coming from, and I'm sorry too if I was abrasive when I pointed out the thing about the tags. your first comment sounded a little less than admiring and more "why the hell have you done this", which I thought was a bit unnecessary. I'm glad we in fact both enjoyed the fic though!!

also, if you haven't read any Punk Cas before, I gotta personally recommend it as a trope!! in AU's it brings out the rebellious side in his character really nicely, I think. :D

No hard feelings. I've been browsing through K_K_TiBal's works, and yours, and you seem to be good friends. I understand the instinct to be 'abrasive,' especially since you're right, re-reading, I did sound kinda sarcastic. No, if I read something I don't like, I keep my opinions to myself. This was very different, but interesting and I was genuinely impressed. I like fics that push my previous perceptions of characters

Edit: I may leave my original comment as is, so the whole comment chain doesn't become void. Your call

        1. ahhh, there is a particular emotion that comes with seeing your friend's work being disparaged, yes - you're quite right. I absolutely did read it as heavy sarcasm. just more evidence that the internet really needs a special sarcasm font that we can engage as needs be...

as for editing the comment, thank you for saying it's my call but the choice has got to be yours! they're your words, feel free to add to them or delete them or leave them, however you feel comfortable.

BTW, even though I didn't think I would, I ended up clicking the 'punk Cas' tag and reading about half the fics. I can't say it's my personal favorite trope/AU, but I'm always interested in seeing a character from new angles, and it was a lot of fun. Thanks for pointing me in th e direction of some brilliant authors and stories!
