Intro:

If you signed up for X-Men Remix 2018 and want to do more remixes, didn't sign up but want to do a remix anyway, don't want to write/draw anything but would love to have your fics/art remixed, X-Men Remix Madness 2018 is for you! There is no word minimum and you DO NOT have to opt in to be remixed in order to remix other people.

We are running opt-ins for Remix Madness as a prompt meme again this year. Opt ins/claiming will not begin until July 1, but here is how they will work at that time: To opt in to make your works eligible to be remixed, simply click the signup form at the top of the page and fill out the form. To remix someone else, click the "Prompts" link on the left sidebar and "claim" a prompt. Once you have claimed a prompt, you can post your story/art by going to the "Claims" link on the left sidebar. Claiming a prompt does not mean you are obligated to write/draw anything, and more than one person can claim any prompt.

Here is the official schedule for X-Men Remix Madness 2018:

Signups/claiming begins: July 1
Works revealed: July 8
Authors/artists revealed: July 15

You may continue claiming/filling prompts until the end of the day on July 15, so Remix Madness will be open for two full weeks.

Rules:

Anyone may remix fic/art for X-Men Remix. You do not have to opt in to be remixed in order to remix others. If you dropped out of the main exchange or didn't sign up to begin with, you are more than welcome to play here. It's a free-for-all, basically, with just a few guidelines as outlined below:

You may remix any XMFC/DoFP/XMA work by anyone who has opted in, provided it is not a WIP*, a collaboration**, a remix***, or a safe work. *WIPs may be remixed IF the prompter opts in to having certain WIPs remixed. **Collaborations may be remixed if all of the people involved in the collaboration sign up and say they're okay with their collaborations being remixed. ***Their remixes can be remixed if they okay it in their signup.

Do not change the pairing or basic plot of the original work.

Only X-Men works may be remixed.

Your remix must be in the same medium (fic for fic or art for art) as the original work unless the original artist/author says they are okay with having their works remixed in a different medium.

There is no word minimum for Remix Madness, and sketches and such are fine for art. Manips are also fine for the Madness round.

Whatever you write/draw for Remix Madness must still be complete. No WIPs.

As with the main exchange, you may change anything in your remix except the pairing or basic plot

You may write/draw as many things as you want as long as they're all in by the end of the day on July 15, so feel free to go wild!
