Stiles knew there were people out there who viewed pack selection invitations as a form of slavery, a tangible reminder that werewolves were the dominant species who got what they wanted. They were the same people who looked at the bite as a burden rather than a gift, who claimed that the invitations weren't invitations as much as they were a summons that couldn't be ignored.
Personally? Stiles couldn’t see the downside. He’d seen the members of the local pack, okay? So if the powerful and frankly gorgeous Hales ever decided they wanted to swoop in and basically adopt him, and if somewhere down the line he got supernatural powers and a partner, maybe hot like burning Derek Hale?
Sign him the fuck up.
Alpha Peter is unwell and not healing from the fire. Stiles is appointed/volunteers as his comfort omega and turns out to get more than he expected from the bargain.
Stiles has everything: two parents who love him, a giant Hale pack that adores him, a well of powerful magic, and a mate who would move heaven and earth for him. But when his mate is killed and their mate bond broken, it all comes crashing down. Determined to join Peter in death, Stiles tries to kill himself, calling on his magic to take him to his mate. But something goes awry and Stiles ends up in another dimension, where he finds a different kind of Peter. But first Stiles has to get him out of Eichen...
“It’s the eyes that give him away.”
An Assassins!AU that starts out slow but ends with a bang.
It was a long time coming, Stiles thought, as he watched the blinding, roaring flames consume the last remains of the shell of the old Hale House. The heat that radiated from the core of the massive storm of fire nipped at the bare skin of his face and hands, even from this distance away. It was a startling contrast to the chilly, wet Autumn air, but even so, it felt slightly welcome.
Peter stepped up beside him, brushing his hands off on his dirty jeans, and sighed heavily as his blue eyes set upon the red flames. Stiles looked over at him, at the fire dancing in his eyes, and wondered if this was the beginning of something new. Something wonderful.
-Or, Peter decides it's time to move on, and makes plans with Stiles to build a new house -
Stiles doesn't know when things started going wrong in his relationship - but he does know that they are indeed wrong, and it's time for him to leave. But leaving his long-term partner behind and starting anew may be more difficult than it seems.
Enter Stiles' charming new neighbor, bigshot lawyer Peter Hale. At first, Stiles can't stand the man - he's pushy, and arrogant, and he makes Stiles miss all the good parts of his relationship with David. Will Stiles allow himself be vulnerable again? And what exactly is Peter hiding behind all that smarm?
