2 Works in Henneth Annûn Story Archive

First half of SR 1390, as Bilbo and Frodo investigate strange happenings in the Shire, engage in politics with kin and others, and confront the damage done in Buckland. We get to visit the Free Fair, held over Lithe in Michel Delving, and see everything come to a head.
Lithe is an attempt to place the Shire more clearly within the context of Sauron's return and his growing influence on Middle-earth, as well as continue looking at the the socio-economic shifts affecting hobbit society as they cease being so isolated from the wider world.
A huge panoply of kin and characters tromp through the tale. Rated mature for subject matter and scenes. If you like light-hearted hobbit stories, this will not be your cup of tea.

Two weeks in Buckland as Bilbo and Frodo visit during Yule and attend the Wintermark celebration.
Takes place in late-December, 1389, and early January 1390 SR, during the Yule season. Contains a great deal of speculative information about Shire social structure, politics, and economic activity since Bilbo returned from his adventures.
Bilbo and Frodo are main characters. Brandybuck, Took, Bolger, and Burrows relatives show up, and many original characters (OCs), including Dalin, a Dwarf. Mature themes in almost every chapter, descriptions of sexual activity and violence in several chapters. Only G or PG rated excerpts will be posted to AO3.
Not a cheerful feel-good holiday story in any way.
This story is originally published on my own site, Rómenna. New chapters will appear there first. Read On Merry Yule on Rómenna.
