This was made with a more recent photo of Ramona Milano as reference, and is what I believe Francesca would look like after a couple of years, maybe more settled and confident in herself.

Pining and moody Fraser inspired by watching the last two episodes of season 1, "Victoria's Secret Part 2" and "Letting Go". The pose is from the latter episode and I added the snow with masking fluid. I loved how they used the snowfall in those Victoria episodes.

    Summary

Near Wild Heaven was, almost literally, the first thing I wrote, and certainly the first long thing I ever wrote. I worked on this off and on for over a year and did not write it in any kind of linear fashion.

Part III was actually (mostly) written second (June 1999), in part because I was stuck on character motivations in the first part. It's admittedly rough, and could have done with more work, although I did fix a lot of the (popular at the time, I swear!) dialect.

As I said in Part I, I'm posting this partly because I had such a great time writing it (in fact, there are still parts of it that make me laugh), because I learned so much by/while writing it, and also because it's sort of "historical": a lot of the tropes in dS fandom did not exist when this was written (hard to believe, but there were only 27 F/K stories on Hexwood when I came into the fandom, and only about 5 of those had any kind of M/M sex!), and I thought it would be fun for other people to see how we earlier writers managed such things as tropes before they were tropes. But, in essence, you are reading a "first novel," with all the alarm bells that ought to ring in your head.

I worked on this off and on for over a year and did not write it in any kind of linear fashion. The first part was actually finished last, in part because I was stuck in getting them to a plausible misunderstanding that was necessary for the plot (such as it was). It's rough, and could have done with more work, although I did fix a lot of the (popular at the time, I swear!) dialect.

I'm posting it in part because I had SUCH a great time writing it (in fact, there are still parts of it that make me laugh), because I learned so much by/while writing it, and also because it's sort of "historical": a lot of the tropes in dS fandom did not exist when this was written (hard to believe, but there were only 27 F/K stories on Hexwood when I came into the fandom, and only about 5 of those had any kind of M/M sex!), and I thought it would be fun for other people to see how we earlier writers managed such things as tropes before they were tropes. Summary

He moves his legs as far apart as he can, not too far, all tangled up in his uniform pants but that’s okay, we’ve done this, we’re good at this, better than we should be - you’d think one of us would be patient but so far that hasn’t been something either of us is very good at so, for instance, the boots (when he’s wearing them) mostly get left for the afterglow, when the knots are funny-frustrating instead of where-the-hell-is-your-fucking-knife-frustrating.

    ***

An erotic character study [PWP] of absolutely no redeeming social or literary value, inspired by a question asked by Denise Raymond on Serge Asylum, undoubtedly in honour of the [2000] upcoming presidential election and the weighty issues of our times: boxers or briefs?

Irritation flies right out the window with basic traffic sense. Ten blocks in under sixty seconds. Okay, not that bad, but I bet those German engineers would pay to see Fraservergnügen in action.

Another erotic character study centred on the subject of underwear; sequel to Poptart 89. Still boxers. Not brief.

If Canada was what Fraser loved, what got his juices flowing and got colour on his cheeks and a twinkle in his eye, then Ray was just going to have to go head to head with Canada and fight for the man, because Ray was not the giving up kind.
